Long before the 2016 Presidential election, Spiegel online correctly predicted (on February 1, 2016) that Trump is the most dangerous man in the world. If you read the article, you'll come to the conclusion that somebody in Germany had a crystal ball, since they are exactly correct.

Today's Al Jazeera contained an article that should, quite literally, scare the shit out of you.

In Cairo today, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo described the United States as a force for good in the Middle East, and tried to rally our allies against Iran. His speech did not mention the Palestinian territories at all, and only mentioned Yemen briefly. He also did not mention the Palestinians that had died due to our decision to move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

A few weeks ago, Trump announced (by Twitter) that we were pulling our troops out of Syria (which drew accolades from Russia and Turkey), as well as from Afghanistan, which caused Defense Secretary "mad dog" Mattis to resign. National Security adviser John Bolton later softened the blow by saying that we will withdraw our troops from Syria only after ISIS is defeated.Meanwhile, Turkey says that it will launch an attack in Syria if the U.S. delays the troop withdrawal.

To me, that has all the makings of a "powder keg"

If Trump had been in charge during the Cuban missile crisis, none of us would be here, because he literally would have started a nuclear war.

New York Times, January 9, 2019: F.B.I. Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia

"WASHINGTON — In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation.

"The inquiry carried explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence."

We do not know whether the inquiry was continued under Mueller or completed at some point. I expect we will know once Mueller releases his report. However, what the TV pundits are saying is that this is the first time in history (at least that we know of) where a sitting president was the target of a counter intelligence investigation because of his antics. Watching the various expert guest on MSNBC, this is not entirely surprising given Trump's bromance with Putin and Russia.

We, of course, have speculated about Trump being compromised by Russia and other countries many times in this website, and now the NYT has adding respectability to those views.

Yeah, what is new? If Mueller did his job he should know by now how all the pieces fit together; sorry to say this whole Trump family is an bunch of crooks. But yeah again, having Ivanka run the World Bank, what can go wrong??

Slowly but surely we are running out of "banana's" in this "banana republic"Crying

If you see Trumps face when he met the two Russians in the White House just at the beginning, that tells it all. He normally never shows a smile like that. He admires Putin and other dictators and asks Putin advise about the world as well what he should do to become like Putin. Thus nothing new. Typical, I guess the US has been asleep all this time.

Trump just appointed McConnells brother in law for head of the Pension Agency. Loyality gives rewards.

The Washington Post now reveals that Trump has hidden all communications with his one-on-one meetings with Putin.

Washington Post: Trump has concealed details of his face-to-face encounters with Putin from senior officials in administration

"President Trump has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials, current and former U.S. officials said."

The WP uncovered that over the past two years, Trump had five face-to-face interactions with Putin for which there is no detailed record, even in classified files. This would be unusual in any presidency, but especially raises concerns given the Mueller investigation into Trump's possible collusion and other illegal activities with Russia.

What is Trump hiding? Why would any innocent person go to such extraordinary lengths to hide his communications with a political adversary for which he is being criminally implicated in the media as well as Mueller's official investigation? Transparency? Ha.

Yes Schmidt, how come that they just come now with what you wrote? Don't forget the 2 hour meeting in Helsinki of which no one knows what was discussed. If any other President would have acted like that, then there would be an huge uproar ; now barely an "demonstration". I think the population is already accustomed to the Trump world; it does not sink in anymore. He's covered things up all the way and fired most of the FBI heads, so he thinks he's of the "hook"

Philip Rucker, Washington Post: ‘Absolutely out of control’: Cliff Sims’s book depicts life in Trump’s White House

Former West Wing communications aide Cliff Sims has a 384-page "tell all" book “Team of Vipers,” about life in the White House. It goes on sale next week. The Post's Philip Rucker has reviewed an advance copy, and his title gives a good indication of what the book is about with many snippets of how it was like to deal with Trump and his temper.

It makes for interesting reading for the Trump haters, but it also gives a window into why Trump is perhaps the world's most dangerous man.

Further proof of why Trump is the world's most dangerous man was in Al Jazeera this morning:

We all know that Trump has absolutely no idea what he is doing, but his ignorance caused the death of 19 people (including 4 Americans) in Syria last week, prompting even his ally Lindsay Graham to put the blame squarely where it lies - on Trump himself.

In Team of Vipers", John Kelly was quoted as saying "this is the worst (expletive) job I've ever had". The book also reveals the fact that Trump, just like Nixon, has compiled an "enemy's list"

It wasn't me. A humorous song was done on Late night television. James Corden. Many may not be aware of the song but this was funny.

According to Washington Post and reposted in AlterNet, when Trump is in the White House he spends his days "ensconced in the presidential residence, relishing giving tours to acquaintances and strangers by the hundreds, bragging all the while about improving it while he lives there, according to nearly a dozen visitors and current and former White House aides, most of whom requested anonymity to reveal details of the private events. With dangling new chandeliers and imported art work added during his tenure, sightseeing with guests in the White House is among his favorite activities, they said."

It's also been widely reported that when not golfing in Mar-a-Lago, he spends much of his day in bed watching TV news and Tweeting based on something that he watched on Fox and Friends. When does the guy take time to learn anything? He keeps making decisions "from the gut" and his big gut is all about what's good for him. "Feed me something that makes my gut feel good", seems to be the prevailing norm in dealing with Trump's gut.

    One picture says it all.

Trump seems to think that he knows more than all the intelligence agencies and his White House staff because "he has a very good brain".

    Here is the truth:

Yes, if all of the GOP keep dancing with him, then I keep saying this country is doomed. Unless Mueller's report is so strong that it can remove him and his stupid cronies. But I'm afraid the GOP will do everything to keep him in place as well will do the utmost to "destroy/reject" Muellers report. Yes it will be an "hot" summer for sure and my only hope is that this report is as good as it is supposed to be.

State of New York continues to be a problem. Investigation of the huge funds donated for the inauguration is an interesting topic.

There are so many investigations of Trump and Trump Organization activities that they are hard to keep up with. This should not be surprising. All one needed to do was look at his business practices before he was elected to determine what kind of president he would be. Trump is a crook through and through.

The only question is which of the investigations will be the first to get him to resign? As they all start closing in on him he'll lose it in a tirade of a bunch of the prosecutors, issue a bunch of pardons (maybe even try pardon himself) and then resign, putting his fate in the hands of God (Pence).

    My opinion.
