Trump refused to act as an real president in France and at home on Veterans Day; there is now also the Asean Summit in Singapore, which he did not wanted to attend either. I just wonder if he at all will attend the G20 in Argentine.
Pence has no clue what he is doing there, just like his visit at the Olympics in S. Korea.
Slowly but surely this country will disappear from the world map. That is what you get if you don't "vet" your leaders.
Dutch:
It's probably just as well that Trump does not go to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit. I lived in China for a year, and learned about the value of quanxi (pronounced kwan she) in business relationships:

Reading the book pictured below before I went overseas turned out to be very useful:

The Daily Kos touched on this topic this morning:

Countries that value business more than relationships, like Canada or France, can shrug off Trump's insults, but the Asian folks aren't as forgiving.
Trump has no desire, or ability, to learn any new skills, and would likely make an ass our of himself (again) if he went to Asia.
Dutch: Agreed that Pence is out of his depth.
TGIA: All of the selling books I have looked at and all the selling training I have had talk about people buying from people, relationship building. Trump is incapable of that. The concept of face and respect is very important. Imo, the leaders at the summit would prefer to see a leader that has quiet strength, that understands negotiation and shows and commands respect once negotiations are completed. Trump most assuredly is incapable of that.

Thanks, Guy
Yes you are absolutely correct; I worked also in those places and negotiated deals, so I know how things work there. It is too bad that most Americans never had worldwide experience and are stuck on this "island" with the blinders on. That will be their downfall. Also the stubborness to accept anything from other countries, like an decent healthcare system, proper up to date laws also for the leaders, a sliding rate tax system etc.
