The "fun" is just starting; the cost of the deployment of the military is now estimated costing 220 million; the transport of all kinds of military equipment will help ruin our roads. In the meantime plenty of heavily armed "militia" (read Trump idiots) are going to the border to 'help". The chaos will be fantastic; all these idiots together with border guards, ICE, the "troops" and the "militia" will make this "Alice in wonderland" for sure. But yeah we elected an "business man" who knows how to spent our tax money. Bring the barf bucket.

I don't know if there is any truth to this, but I'd read somewhere on the web today that when our troops are mustered to locations, the militia groups show up at the same locations to see what they can steal from the military while being deployed.

Yes, it is true that this is costing taxpayers huge amounts of money, and the congress is mum about it, especially the senate, the branch of government that is supposed to hold the purse strings.

And you know? The dear leader keeps blaming democrats for the illegal immigrant problems, but, who has the majority in congress right now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't the republican majority write and pass bills and send them to the republican president for signature into law? I don't suppose republican or Trump voters ever thought of that. It just goes to show us how ignorant all of them are.

Schumer & Pelosi go to white house and get trolled by manchild in chief over border wall funding? That was a waste of time.

On my yahoo news feed, it said trump is sending several thousand more troops to the border, costing taxpayers more millions of dollars, while creating a fake border crisis, such a moron.

    yahoo.com/news/trump-orders-several-tho...

"Meanwhile, reports indicate the president’s demands for an increased US military presence along the border are expected to cost American taxpayers over $600m"

This shows how ridiculous the laws are in this country; an President, never should be able to deploy the military on his own. The Congress always should determine such; but yeah in this "backwards" banana republic an President has all the tools as used by any dictator; so who is going to stop him? Wake up America and make some solid laws about the limits of a President. Shaking my old head.

Trump needs to keep the so called "border crisis" as front page news. Sending more troops there is just one more way of highlighting his phony crises. His latest move is essentially sending notice of his threat to call a national emergency to have the military build the wall if the conference committee doesn't give him the wall funding.

Lawrence O'Donnell last night highlighted Trump's plans to use existing border security money and eminent domain to seize land belonging to the La Lomita chapel, a 153-year-old historic church in the heart of the community of the border city of Mission, Texas. The church is often used as a refuge for migrants crossing the border, but if Trump moves ahead with his plan, the church could be left on the other side of the wall...the Mexican side with no access to the USA. It's located 800 feet from the border near a horseshoe bend in the Rio Grande river. Effectively Trump would be ceding the strip of land to Mexico.

You won't find Texas Republicans like Ted Cruz standing up to Trump on this issue.
