Now that a bi-partisan group of the folks in congress, after hearing testimony from Gina Haspel, are convinced that MBS ordered the killing of the journalist, the pressure is REALLY going to be on Trump to take further action against the Saudis, and perhaps even against the prince itself.

Not surprisingly, it didn't take long for the Hollywood crowd to come up with a screen version on the story.

Sean Penn is currently in Istanbul, and is filming a documentary about the killing. Penn and his crew were spotted in front the the Saudi consulate yesterday.

Some top US senators have said there is "zero chance" Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) wasn't involved in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Jamal Khassogi just made the cover of TIME magazine. The magazine recognized four individuals and the staff of the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, Maryland - who helped expose the "manipulation and abuse of the truth" around the world.

Both Jared Kushner and Donald Jr. are starting to feel a lot of pressure these days, which is why Donald Jr. suddenly decided recently to take a hunting trip to Canada.

Kushner will soon have to explain a few suspicious facts to investigators:

    1) He provided MBS with an "enemies list" in November of 2017, which quickly led to the arrest and/or torture of "hundreds" of the prince's rivals. Khassogi's name was on the list.

    2) Kushner was also involved in the blockade of Qatar after the Qatari finance minister declined to invest in Kushner's white elephant at 666 Fifth Avenue. He eventually got the money he needed from a Canadian hedge fund - which actually got its money from Qatar.

    3) Kushner may have responsible for getting Rex Tillerson fired.

Arizona -- Thanks for sharing all the links. Like so many other things that Trump is "married to", his absolute support for MBS and public denial of the CIA findings is largely a result of Saudi financial support past and present to the Trump organization. The Saudi's bailed him out twice. From the National Review:

"The Saudi prince laments that he was twice forced to ‘bail out’ Donald Trump, whom he describes as a ‘disgrace to the United States.’"

The Saudis own him just like the Russians own him.

I'd like to know what they have on him, curious me.

The United Nations human rights office just announced that a team of international experts would conduct an inquiry into the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. I found it interesting that the Antonio Guteress has said that he himself does not have the authority himself to launch the investigation, and I'm sure if that makes the investigation more, or less, credible.

Regardless of their findings, it's not going to cause Trump to be more forgiving of the Saudis, buy it may generate a stronger response from congress.

This post is not specifically about Mr. Khasoggi but about crazy actions resulting from arms sales to Saudi Arabia. There should be far more scrutiny and forethought but how does one pass on a chance to make a buck and support an industry where you can shape your message of military and strength ?

This was a troubling article by CNN that shows a reckless path we have taken in the name of profits on war toys. Where is the accountability ? If 44 had done this it would be quite ugly. They (R's) know how to make and use a message.

One of the best ads during the Super Bowl was the one presented by the Washington Post. It included a reference to Jamal Khasoggi.

Not surprisingly, FOX wasn't happy with it:

A year before the killing, the Saudi prince told an aide that he would "use a bullet" on Khashoggi:

One sentence sums up this whole case:

"President Trump has steadfastly insisted the US-Saudi relationship is more important than establishing accountability for murder," said Al Jazeera's Mike Hanna, reporting from Washington, DC.

As a result, it should not come as any surprise that Trump declined to meet a Friday deadline to report to the Senate on whether the White House believes that MBS ordered the killing of Khashoggi.

Yes Arizona; the US Democratic party stays "weak" in all their things. No one dares to put their fist on the table and says this has to stop right now. It is all "talk" but no action. Who is going to Trump and demand things? Even if so trump will laugh and say; I'm the President and who are you? All of this come's forth out of not having stringent laws and an "signed" Presidential Operating Manual which clearly describes his limitations and work ethics.

The show of "weakness" is already clear on how the Dem's dealt with the VA drama. As well with the Whitaker inquiry (he was annoying as hell but they allowed it) neither a fist on the table.

This morning's Al Jazeera provided great detail on the "blood money" being paid to Khassogi's children. Included in the total are million dollar homes and 5 figure monthly payments to the kids - as long as they don't criticize the government.

According to Aidan White, "The elephant in the room is the United States's failure to stand up alongside other democratic governments condemning what has happened in the Khashoggi case and demanding the Saudi government be more open and respect international standards of justice," he said referring to US President Donald Trump's support for Saudi Arabia and the crown prince.

Arizona; the saying is: Whatever Trump touched "dies", so what else do you expect? As they also say: One day the chickens come home to roost. Or: The Titanic for sure will hit the iceberg. Yes the "mob" reigns; laws and "rules" are long gone.
