What I have been saying for over 3 years the DNC comes out with today. Perez addressed real issues this morning. Maybe there is an awakening to recognize the issues that elected Trump. If Hillary had given the speech Perez gave this morning she would be president today.

    Read and heed:

"People are enthusiastic because we're fighting for the issues they care about," said Perez, pointing to health care and wages as the top issues for voters. "This is the most important election of our lifetime."

I have a cd in my compartment in my Cadillac, it's called Monster 70's, there's a couple of tracks that stick and keep repeating themselves. Just like the OP. Hillary didn't do this, Hillary didn't do this, Hillary didn't do this. Obsession with what went wrong in 2016 repeated over and over.

Am I overly sensitive about DNC bashers? Maybe, after they let a socialist into the tent, many of which probably voted for Trump when Bernie lost the primary, who wouldn't be sensitive to Hillary bashers? Surely not the Bernie busters.

Democratic values have not changed that much over the decades, we democrats want what's best for the people, and have always heard democrat politicians campaign on those values. Some people just missed the real messages democrats conveyed, it's not the DNC's fault. I know what democrats stand for, and I know what the R party stands for, it's a huge difference in ideology, if people can't see that, then they usually vote outside of party lines.

If anyone is reading this post, and are wondering what democratic ideals are, here is a link to Democrats.org. It's an interesting read, it outlines what democrats are all about, there's even a section about "good paying jobs". This and more is what a person who calls him/her self a democrat is about.

    "Create Good-Paying Jobs

Democrats know that nothing is more important than creating good-paying jobs that can support a middle-class life—from nurses, firefighters, and teachers to construction workers, factory workers, and small business owners. That is why we are committed to doing everything we can to build a full-employment economy, where everyone has a job that pays enough to raise a family and live in dignity with a sense of purpose."

"That is why we are committed to doing everything we can to build a full-employment economy, where everyone has a job that pays enough to raise a family and live in dignity"

And the result of those intentions was 40 years of stagnant wages, college educations that cost more than a house, cuts in right to life (right wingers call it welfare) no protection from Wall Street, mass incarceration that started with super predators, in fact wall street was given a big boost by Bill Clinton and he now admits it was wrong and says he was misled, dropping of support for labor unions ..... and on. But that all is going to change.

And Trump and repubs have zero arguments for midterms.

"According to BLS, gains in full-time median weekly earnings lagged inflation during the first six months of 2018 compared to one year before, and also during the last three months of 2017."

And there is a lot to work on besides wages.

    "The trickle-down…
This year, the cost of a family insurance plan plus out-of-pocket expenses equates to approximately 50% the average U.S. household income. Continue this trend, and by 2028 it will be 100%."

    And

    The astronomical out-of-pocket?
Saltz calculated for the average, 165 pound American patient, the drug would cost $1,009,944 per year for 26 doses. With a 20% Medicare copay, that’s a whopping $201,988 out-of-pocket for a single year of treatment! This stark reality is hoped to lead to a drastic changes in melanoma treatment, as many patients cannot afford medical insurance, least of all these copays and therapies.

Shaking my head; nothing will work as long as the "system"stays the same and is totally "corrupted"; "billions spent via "PAC's" and lobbyists. As well no "real laws" related to Presidents or how to govern. Polarization and having an "partisan" Supreme Court" does not help either.

If this country stays on this path, then things stay the same: The rich get richer, the poor will get poorer. As long as "socialism" remains an "dirty" word here; things will stay the same. "Words" alone mean nothing. I don't want to be negative, but I'm afraid the "trick" book of the GOP stays in place; just observe the Kavanaugh hearing.

Sorry, but as long as the "base" structure/law system/corruption/2 polarized parties of this country stays the same; it will continue on the same path as with Watergate and the Iran Contra scandal; nothing will change.

Corruption and dishonesty are huge problems that need addressing. Many things should and could be better. Until someone has ideas on improving the "system", we can only identify bad politicians and work hard for their removal.

Republicans use dirty tricks every day. Name calling is juvenile and immature but it works. Put 30 MAGA members in a room and ask them for bad things to say about progressive, liberal people. Hundreds of buzz words would follow. Libtards, Snowflakes, and many more follow. It's their 5th grade mindset. Pathetic and sad is certainly true but if 30 morons chuckle and feel superior (even though it's the furthest thing from the truth) they become entrenched in their world. About 8 months ago they interviewed those from his base. Their acceptance of #45 was that what he does pisses off the Libtards. That is 100% justification in their eyes. Those fine Americans vote every single election.

We need to play the game better. We absolutely should not become them but fear of impolite rudeness should not be our elements that keep us out of the fight. Somethings are worth fighting for. Our citizens and country are worth us aggressively seeking the opportunity to lead people.

Elite liberal is far too intelligent to loudly disagree. Elite liberal is nominating nobody to the supreme court. We need to not only learn to stand strong but in fact - do it regularly. The Blue party has access to thousands of experts in public relations, people Management and psychology. Or, we can quietly sit on our hands and politely say nothing. How is that working for you ?

Focusing on good wages for the working class will correct the problems. The only way to get good wages is to reform Wall Street. That will make stocks valuable for their earnings. Eliminating the #1 greed tool the CFMA will make money scrambling for new earnings. Wages and health care will force money into earnings instead of betting.

Chet, how many times I have to tell you"countries" are not run on wages alone. You need an sound government structure and "systems" which "balance" either the "economy" as well "equality" and "living standards" In the countries I lived, part of your salary can be an solid "social structure" which is then actually part of your salary. Such system takes a lot of worry out of your life. An good "salary" does not help if you get "cancer" or another decease, if your salary gets depleted by doctors/hospital cost etc. Also "infrastructure" is not even discussed because that is then part of the "social picture"; clean water; clean environment; care for the "aged"; no slums; housing for everyone; education for everyone; etc. So you rather spent your tax dollars on wars and war tools as well huge government waste? ( Trump did spent already more than 350 million on himself) If you have an country with proper laws and not being corrupted by "bought" elections as well lobbyists who run the show, would that not be much better? In the end your "salary" and "benefits" make life "livable" without concerns for "health" or that "bridges" collapse.

Dutch, You don't get good people elected without the votes. To get votes from people who have stagnated 40 year old wages they have to be promise good wages and health care. Talk to the people and tell them they are going to share in the country. If you remember back in early very early 2015 I told you Trump is a very formidable contender and could win promising lots of good paying jobs. Borrowing your phrase "how many times do I have to tell you"? The working class has been left behind and they need lots of good paying jobs. It's All about the people.

I think Dock speaks for millions of Democrats who can't stand Hillary haters. I'm one of them.

Hillary haters are willfully ignorant to the fact that Hillary Clinton was chosen by the people of this country. They INSIST!!! that Bernie would have won if only we listened to the MINORITY of Democrats who voted for him in the 2016 Democratic Primary.

And Hillary haters are why we have a narcissistic sociopath in charge of our nuclear codes. Their selfishness and "my way or the highway" mentality are why we are in our current situation and their selfishness and "my way or the highway" mentality are why we may very well lose in 2018 and 2020.
