Impeach. Trump has been somewhat subdued. He said if he was impeached the economy would collapse and everybody would be poor. I was surprised he even mentioned the word impeached.

    Chet:

As much as we would all like to see Trump out of office, impeachment is actually not the best solution.

Believe it or not, there IS a way to remove the entire Trump administration from office, and replace them with the administration of Hillary Clinton, who would become our 46th present BEFORE the 2020 election.

The lengthy article posted below explains how that could happen:

I would prefer federal indictments for campaign fund violations, then go from there.

Interesting, especially the part about qualifications. All the newspapers and especially the one that had never supported Democrat. It provided substantive proof.

Guy, I doubt that anything like that is going to happen. I bet that in such case we get an revolution. Don't forget that the GOP members have the most guns and are NRA members. HONESTY in this country is impossible because of the "money" involved.

"Don't forget that the GOP members have the most guns and are NRA members."

That is the exact purpose for the second amendment. We do not live in a country now that has the best interest of the majority of people as a purpose.

I think Trump's brazen selfishness may be starting to wear on his supporters. They probably don't care that he is an adulterer or liar. His carelessness in getting caught is probably what dismays his supporters most.

Everything trump touches turns bad. The closer a person is to trump, the higher the risk. Some figure it out faster than others, and those who wait too long are totally Fucked, with no way out.

Imagine meeting some guy, Mr Amazing, who seems present himself as rich, famous, successful, and multi-talented, but over time you learn that all his friends and business associates are shady people that give you the creeps, and that they all seems be involved in criminal activity. Slowly You begin to wonder how much you really like Mr. Amazing when every time you learn something new about him, its never good news. Instead of being super rich, you learn he is super in debt, and all the great stuff he bragged about isn't true, the banks own 95% of everything he claims to be his. And on top off all that, you find out he has been married many times and cheated on all his wives, often with very young women, 20+ years younger.

    ...Yeah,

NYT this morning headline: Democrat congressional members are not leaning toward impeachment, but democrat voters are, which means congressional members are afraid it'll mess up their reelection chances if they push impeachment, which means democrat representatives are like ground hogs, they're afraid of their own shadows, and are not listening to their constituents or their voter's will. So basically they're representing themselves and not us. Not surprising.

They are quietly sitting in the shadows waiting to reap the benefits of Trump's folly. That way there are no promises to keep or problems to solve. Just wave the flag of liberation.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the November vote. If some of the 50% who normally don't vote put their X on a D, the numbers of Congress will make an impeachment possible.

Even so, the underlying problems are far from solved in USA. Another Trump-type person could become elected (and from the politically left). The next one will likely be a lot smarter to turn USA away from a democracy.

I would start building another system of governance, one in which neither Mr. Trump nor Ms. Clinton would rise too high.

While I don't expect it, I wouldn't mind seeing the truth being reestablished as an important thing. Get great midterm results and let the focus change. The last 18 months have been a bizarre fiasco. Hopefully we can get a fresh start and stop accepting what has been served up to this point.

Make it official and let the whole truth be told. Pence will get his chance to not impress anyone and in November of 2020 we can correct the problem entirely. He may have a few Russian skeletons in his closet as well. Time will tell.
