By some strange quirk of fate Trump's shenanigans, antics and double talk is revealing how fragile, antiquated, outdated and counterproductive the policies and ideologies of the U.S. Government and the European Union have become, for instance, NATO is nothing more than a relic of the pass constantly seeking a reason for its own existence by getting involved in all those ware crimes around the planet instigated by the U.S. Military Industrial Complex and if Trump's goal is an isolationist policy he is doing a bang up job.

The mass hysteria created by those unsupported, unproven accusations about Russia's devastating effects on America's election systems are absurd and the U.S. Government should be investigating the Republican Party that has turned America's election systems into a corrupt joke and it is important to remember that the main talent the U.S. intelligence agencies display is the ability to tell very big lies and the tragedy of Iraq is just one example.

The effort by Trump to get Europe to pay its fair share by buying US military weapons is a clear indication that peace is the last thing on Trump's mind and that also applies to all those US politicians, intelligence agencies and the corporate mass news media which is owned and operated by the Military Industrial Complex who are showing their true colors by attacking every effort Trump has made to negotiate with other nations.

One must not forget that these war criminals, warmongering maniacs in the US Government have been trying for decades to convince the American people that Russia and Iran are a terrible treat to the American people when in truth the real threat to the American people is that warmongering, corrupt Oligarchy in Washington DC that holds the record for corrupting other nations elections all over the planet.

Connie, I'm afraid that the "public" here does not understand what s going on, before it is to late; It is all about "money" for Trump and his cronies; the real hard working people here are only good if he can use them for his own propaganda; for the rest he does not care; it is me, me, me, only. But yeah some day the chickens............etc.

Connie - I don't say this to demean or belittle you, but I genuinely encourage you to get some help. You obviously hold a ton of anger and hatred in your heart and it is preventing you from being able to think logically.

Yet millions of Americans still voted for Donald. We have to ask ourselves why.

I think it's for a variety of reasons, but the main one in my opinion is white resentment. White men were used to getting everything they wanted for hundreds of years and all of a sudden they aren't. That pisses them off because their parents raised them to believe that they are better than everyone else. That's why they had that great paying job. It's because they were special.

They didn't know or don't care that the New Deal explicitly excluded black people from any and all benefits. They glossed over the fact that Jim Crow laws, with the blessing of the Supreme Court, perpetuated apartheid indefinitely.

Then brown people started saying "no, you aren't special" and demanded to be treated equally, and women started saying "you know what? I am smarter than you, Jerry," and machines started saying "I'll do this job and will never take a vacation or sick day."

And those poor white men who were used to having everything handed to them on a silver platter all of a sudden realized that their shit actually does stink.

Then out of nowhere this guy comes around and tells those people that he is their knight in shining armor and that "he alone" will fix all of their problems and they ate it up hook, line, and sinker.

jaredsxtn said the most racist unsubstantiated accusations I have seen on this sight:

"New Deal securities laws made it harder for employers to raise capital."

This is obvious warped interpretations of "New Deal" laws.

Picking exceptions to generalize overall actions is a fallacy.

Picking exceptions is not limited .

New Deal's Impact on African Americans

    Benefits

African Americans benefited from many of Roosevelt's New Deal programs such as the following:

    • Works Progress Administration employed over 300,000 African Americans
    • Civilian Conservation Corp employed over 300,000 African Americans
    • Public Works Administration set quotas for the number of African Americans that had to be hired for all construction jobs

Roosevelt's New Deal education programs also taught more than 1 million African Americans to read and write. More skilled and educated African Americans were hired as engineers, librarians, lawyers, and architects under New Deal programs.

Advancements like these shifted African American voting habits towards the Democratic Party and away from the Republicans for the first time since Lincoln.

, "Medicare," was established by the 1965 amendments to the social security program.

Without FDR there would be no Medicare or Medicaid today. There is no other single person in the world who has benefited so many people.

    Reality of civics.

"I did not choose the tools with which I must work," FDR explained. "Had I been permitted to choose them, I would have selected quite different ones. But I've got to get legislation passed by Congress to save America. The Southerners [...] occupy strategic places on most of the Senate and House committees. If I come out for the anti-lynching bill now, they will block every bill I ask Congress to pass to keep America from collapsing. I just can't take that risk."

What you say above is 100% true the only problem is you were afraid to say it is the top 1% who perpetuated and perversed it to control the masses.

If we don't like the result of the 2016 election (and many of the actions of previous administrations), then we need to consider that the electoral system may be at fault. Consider Tiered Democratic Governance as a possible alternative:

ALL? some NRA members might be lefties, some might be progressives, independents, democrats, yes?

"Most members of the Democratic caucus have F grades, as you might expect. But nine of the 49 Democratic and independent senators have grades above F, including four — Sens. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Jon Tester (D-Mont.) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) — who have grades of A-minus or higher. Those senators represent four states that consistently vote Republican, so it’s perhaps not surprising that they’d have better NRA scores than their peers. All four were in the Senate when it considered compromise legislation on expanding background checks after the massacre at Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012, but only Heitkamp opposed the effort. (Manchin was a co-sponsor.)"

Lefties need to be careful here, or would this be eat or be eaten?
