The environmental issue is sure to be a hot topic, since the fires in the Brazilian Amazon, which accounts for more than half of the world's largest rain forest, have surged in number by 83 percent this year, according to government data, destroying vast swaths of a vital bulwark against global climate change.

French President Emmanuel Macron called for G7 leaders to discuss the environmental crisis in Brazil at a summit this weekend in the French coastal resort of Biarritz. France and Ireland threatened to oppose an EU trade deal struck in June with the regional Mercosur bloc of countries including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, following Brazil's response.

Hours ahead of the G7 meeting, Macron said on Twitter "our house is on fire", calling for members of the summit to act.

G6, Trump is absent, even though he is attending, it's a world platform for him the lambaste everybody else. He should be censured and hauled out in strait jacket.

Although he was not invited, Mohammad Javad Zarif just arrived for talks at the G7 summit. He does not plan to talk to Trump.

French President Emmanuel Macron, the host of this year's G7 summit, has been leading efforts to defuse tensions triggered by Trump's decision to exit the internationally-brokered 2015 Iran nuclear deal and reimpose sanctions against Tehran.

Macron met Zarif for rare talks in Paris on Friday on the eve of the summit. He has also held telephone talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani

Excellent development ; Trump will be very happy with that. I hope Iran and the others reinstate the Obama deal. Let Trump be the "chosen one" on its own.

If you looked at Fareed today then you must have seen that the far east, has now become an huge block of trading partners which includes also Australia and Europe as well. At a given moment the US will stand alone and the only partner left is "may be" Britain; however "Boris" already said that he does not believe in "trade wars". So Trumps dreams come true; he gets his "own" island; it is called SA ( I leave the U off, because that is an lie). At least he can stay the "king" of Israel.

Next year's G7 Summit is going to be in the United States. Trump is already thinking of having the meeting at the resort that he owns near Miami.

    But of course.

I'm OK with that location as long as the Trump Organization gets NO MONEY, but that is just a pipe dream.

I guess you don't seem to know how stupid this country is. Of course one way or another he'll be profiting from it.

He said in France that the Presidency did cost "him" billions. Of course the stupid people here believe that as well.

During the Press conference he mentioned Obama about a "hundred times" he's an very sick person for sure.

I bet none of the things he said will be "done". Certainly you can't scold Xi and then expect to get "presents". Neither with Iran.

Once he's back home; he'll be the same nasty asshole as ever. Amen

Justin Trudeau is 47 years old (2 years younger than Melania) , and looks like this:

Donald Trump turned 73 in June, and looks like this:

If you were Melania, who would you rather kiss?

    See the source image

The picture above was taken after the release of the "Access Hollywood" tape. My guess is that not long after Trump is out of office, she'll be filing divorce papers.

She married him for his money. She will do "whatever" is needed to hold onto her First Lady status. She is the 3rd trophy wife of Trump and knows that the 4th wife could be much younger than her.

To no one's surprise at all, Trump just awarded next year's G7 summit meeting to his Miami resort, where profits fell by 70% after he entered politics.

I'm pretty sure that president Pelosi will move it to another location after Trump and Pence are forcibly removed from office.

Although Trump claims he will make no money from the summit, it would be a major branding opportunity for Trump’s resorts. Trump’s presidency has had a mixed impact on his businesses. Some of his properties, most notably his hotel in Washington, D.C., have seen a big increase in business, much of it from customers with political interests, including foreign governments that may be seeking to curry favor with the White House. Other Trump properties have seen a sharp decline in business as groups have canceled events to avoid being affected by political controversies.

I thought I have become numb to the complete breakdown of every single norm in our constitutional government, but I just can't help but getting pissed off at this one.

Where are all the sane Republicans who pledge allegiance to our Constitution and not a demagogue intent on shitting all over our Constitution?

Once again - just IMAGINE if Obama did this...

Micheal Moore addressed this direct question on MSNBC today. Obama wouldn't need to be told how badly he screwed up, and he would resign to avoid the long drawn out scandal that would be bad for the country. Its pretty clear Trump thrives on scandal, choas, and implosion. It will never end not even after he leaves the WH. Once he is gone, he will be doing exactly what Giuliani is doing right now, selling influence to countries that are desperate and willing to make backroom deals with Trump as the middle man. The rallies won't either, he will be holding rallies 1-2 month attacking the next democratic president. He won't stay out of pollitics ,he will continue attack\lie\etc so that nation's focus always remain on him, even as an ex president.

On the topic of G7 being held at Mar-a-largo. Here are some easy predictions:

    1) It will be the most expensive Summit in history. Not by just 1-2 million, but cost more than all the previous summits combined.

    2) Once the final bill is made public, there will be expense items such as $1000 napkins that are same napkins bought at Costco for less than $1 each. $5,000 Trump buttons and pins (made in china. Cost 25 cent each). Meals costing $25,000 per person. Pictures taken with Trump costing $10,000 for each person in the picture with Trump. Final bill to US tax payers will exceed $100 million. Trump will milk this for all that he can get.

    3) Many of the guests will be giving tips to Mar-a-largo in the range of millions on top of millions each guest spends to stay there during the summit.

    4) There will be private meetings with Trump that are classified as "personal Time" where Trump charges $100,000 per hour, claiming he is "off the clock" therefore he can do anything he wants during his personal time.

    5) There will be reports in Times and WP, etc that show that Mar-a-Largo failed many inspections required for the summit, and should have been disqualified because of numerous health and safety violations.

Trump lie and spin all of it. He will claim it is normal for it to cost so much citing false examples of how he lost money by hosting it. How he hires only the best Chefs, waiters, etc from around the world. Only the best of the best of the top 1%. He will claim that the Mar-a-Largo staff costs are over millions per day because they are so good. However, investigating reporting will show that his staff is mostly immigrant workers being paid minimum wage, costing him only a couple thousand per day.

Very puzzling, Trump pulled himself out. Did he succumb to pressure, or was he playing mind games and never planned to host the G7 at his resort, or maybe he found to host it he would have to reveal tax info he wants to keep sealed?
