This afternoon's speculation\commentary in the main stream media is that we have reached Defcon 1 for another Saturday night massacre.

By doing so, trump would be betting heavily that Republican leadership will put all their political power on the craps table willing to gamble everything by doing nothing to stop him; that is the political stare down he had with Republicans during 2016 primary that lead him to become president. He made huge bets (bluffs\lies) that republicans would not match, so they folded.

And if trump can get Republican leaders to stand behind when he overtly obstructs justice, he knows he has got them by the balls, and they will allow him to fuck anyone, anytime, including their wives and daughters if he were make that demand.

During a meeting of his national security staff and lots of generals, Trump made an incoherent diatribe blasting the raid on Cohen's office and hotel as "disgraceful". The media were there for the initial picture taking and Trump used the occasion to go "unhinged" about everything that came to his mind...Hillary Clinton's 30,000 e-mails, Rod Rosenstein (who signed off on the FBI raid), Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation, and more...whatever came to his flustered mind.

This raid will reveal a gold mine of information that will result in Trump's impeachment. Trump's actions show he is guilty as hell.

I did not see that meeting, but if he is as you describe, then we're beginning to see him squirm a bit, maybe his temper, body language gives himself away, people usually react irrationally when being boxed into a corner, we might as someone who has already alluded to, see another Friday meltdown (firing), who will it be? is the question.

Schmidt, I've also seen it. Looking at it as objectively as I can, he appears very paranoid and to believe every thing he stated. He truly believes that the FBI is totally corrupt, manufacturing evidence, and targeting innocent people. The Deep State has issued orders to take him out by framing him and others of fake crimes.

So why doesn't trump fire Jeff Sessions and others at DOJ?

My best guess is that trump is unable to get anyone on the A list or B list that will start firing all the major heads of the FBI, and then continue on to clean house by firing career FBI employees without cause (as if they were political appointees). IMHO, if trump had a loyalist to replace Sessions, Session would be fired.

It's going to be so much fun watching the wheels come off this criminal cabal. Mueller ain't joking. Watching the fat idiot come unglued and his lying front people and his thugs go down in flames . Here in the free world we have this thing called the rule of law and eventually , it comes down to the law.

There will now be more raids. As more orf these thugs face serious prison ,life in prison , knowing that the alternative is a visit by some Russian hit man ,tough decisions... I am looking forward to the raids on Paul Ryan's office on Mitch and Dana R on Jeff the lyer sessions even. That's when it will get really fun. These are rats who are going to be exposed. Today Zuckerberg is on the hot seat. He did conspired with CA and that means Russia to subvert our electoral process. He should face charges and be liable to our justice system. Facebook should be shut down. It's a weapon being used against us .

I expect desperation from the fat idiot and I expect the line has been drawn. He is cornered and has no way out. He will try to do something but will be rebuked . The GOP will now begin to circle the wagons and abandon him.

As he becomes more alone we can hope he does something truley dramatic ,tries to flee, my expectation all along, with him horrible family. But that will mean abandoning their ill gotten gains .

Or maybe he will choose the cowards way out.

Schmidt; not so fast, (I think.) Like what was said ; he always can claim the "fifth"; thus it still may not be sufficient to "impeach" him. The problem is , if the "congress" votes on it then they (GOP) may still stick with him, otherwise it is the end of the GOP. So what do you think may happen?

If America's legal system really stood up for truth and justice then Trump would have been jailed decades ago for his criminal activities and never been President.

And it won't matter how many crimes he has been committing now or in the future because there is no way that corrupt, bought of Republican Congress will impeach him and anyone who is babbling about the rule of law in America needs a brain transplant.

I am unclear as to what it means to be a subject of an investigation, but not a target.

If a bank is robbed, the bank teller is a subject of the investigation the thief who robbed the bank is the target.

I guess you refuse to see it the way it is; Trump is the "mob" boss who bullies America and indeed puts a imaginary gun to the peoples head, like any dictator. I have no shame, because I'm just warning that this country is going to hell in a hurry with this lunatic in power. Comey said it correctly. Also the people who he surrounds himself with are pure criminals.

SNL had some fun with the investigation on last night's episode. Nice to have a diversion that brings a smile.

Birds of a feather flock together.

What's more is that when he needed laws to protect himself during his bankruptcies, he used those laws and lawyers to their fullest extent, now that he and his crime organization are being looked at, for possible lawless activity, he has no use for the law, in fact, he'd like to fire the very people who are looking into his lawless and unlawful activities. I hope the congress rebukes his sorry illegal ass.

"Yep, Donald Trump's companies have declared bankruptcy...more than four times"
