Trump is scolding Amazon; guess what? It is not Amazon who's he after, but the Washington Post which is owned by Amazon's Jeff Bezos. He hates that news paper, because they've got good reporters who always find out what Trump "corrupts" or lies. Therefore he uses Amazon to attack it because he only wants FOX news to be his propaganda machine and prefers the same as in Russia to have a sole government approved/censored "media" which is 100% "loyal" to him and his "cronies". So an extremely dangerous game; which may get supported by his clan who are FOX viewers.

You nailed it. Not for the first time, the tiny pawed demagogue is openly doing what had previously been done behind closed doors. Exerting illicit influence on mainstream media outlets by pressuring the corporate superstructures behind them.

Are you shocked that this kind of thing happens, or just that Trump is doing it so brazenly?

Obviously ulterior motive there. If he were really upset about tax evading big corporate companies he would or should be irritated by the takeover of small town America by Walmart, they're responsible for putting more mon and pop stores out of business than any other retailer in history. You know, trump could be mad at Bezos because he's not the world's richest guy anymore.

TaDa, Jeff Bezos, the richest American! statista.com/statistics/201426/the-rich...

trump only does things that is to his benefit as his #1 priority, and he never comprises on that priority.

Given the history of the WP, its unlikely trump will have any negative impact on their reporting. It is likely to ensure that they get their facts right, and have multiple sources, that ensures trump really hates the WP even more for getting their reporting correct.

Speculating, trump probably has made efforts to sweet talk Bezos (like he did Comey), and no progress was made in getting the WP to back off, so trump goes to lying on Tweeter hoping to cost Bezos large sums of money thus crack him into putting a gag order on the WP "Only supportive stories about trump"

Donnie misses the irony of his comments. of course so does his base. Donnie regularly screwed contractors and suppliers including causing some to go out of business. that is completely beyond his base's comprehension. one wonders if he will attack Mao-mart? nah, the Waltons are conservatives, through and through.

Well, I guess that's pretty evident because of the slave wages they pay. Walmart screws their contractors too.

I wish WAPO a long and prosperous life. Amazon too. I purchased $125 worth of goods from Amazon last month.

The REAL reason Trump is criticing Bezos is that on ine shopping caused his net worth to decline by $400 million last year.

Like I said that is not the reason; the main reason is to torpedo the Washington Post. He did not invite Hannity for nothing on Mar-a-Lago; dined and wined with him. Trump's objective is very clear; he wants the whole pro FOX clan in his cabinet, so he can use FOX as the governments propaganda machine as well curtail others. He wants a "full" dictatorship with 100% "loyality to him; that is so obvious!. If people here are too dumb to not realize such then they should go back to school.

Exactly right Dutch. Right on point. Eventually people will get tired of the loud mouthed provocateur and not accept everything without question.

Why can't Dems get financial contribution like the R's get ? That would level the field.

The 2016 data shows the Democrats dominating fundraising in almost every category. Clinton raised about 170% of what Trump raised. 563 million versus Trump's 333 million.

One thing you'll notice about FOX News. They do not call the WP names and it is extremely rare for FOX to be critical of the WP. FOX knows the WP does their reporting extremely well, so FOX is very careful about not to claim the WP "Fake News". They may quote trump tweets, but its unlikely they will ever do any kind of hard news reporting that suggests the WP is falsifying reporting factual information.

Yeah, WAPO vs. FOX news war? or, WAPO news vs. FOX noise? ABC occasionally calls out FOX noise.

According to CBS: the trump campaign spent $158,000 on office supplies, from Amazon.

    cbsnews.com/news/amazon-trump-campaign-...

"The Donald J. Trump for President committee continued to use Amazon well after the election, spending more than $2,000 in 2017, FEC records show."

I wonder if they used Amazon Prime for free USPS delivery?

I just saw on the news that Sinclair ordered that all the associated stations sent out certain prepared propaganda and fake news as ordered by the Trump clan. Slowly but surely Trump tries to get his "lies" indoctrinated into the heads of the ignorant dumb people here. Russia and Hitler all over again.
