Mr. Khurshid:
Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are considered to be among the top 10 of the most dangerous countries:

Since you have first hand knowledge of the area, I don't dispute the fact that Pakistan is still considered to be a corrupt country. Pakistan, after all, was the country that harbored Osama bin Laden for a number of years.
However, Donald Trump is NOT the person who is going to bring peace to the area. In September of 2017, a new book released by 27 psychiatrists proclaimed that Donald Trump is the most DANGEROUS man in the world, and we will all breathe a sigh of relief when Robert Mueller forces his removal from office. According to Tony Schwarz, the ghost writer for "The Art of the Deal". Trump will most likely resign before the end of the year, and possibly as early as September.

The best hope for peace in Afghanistan is Malala Yousafzhi. Although she is still attending college in England, I would not be surprised if she eventually returned to her native country as an elected official - but that won't happen for a number of years. In the meantime, she has inspired LOTS of people currently in Pakistan to fight corruption any way that they can.
The irony of Donald Trump is that there are people in America who voted for him because they thought that all politicians are corrupt, but they voted for THE most corrupt president in the history of our country.
