I've never seen in my life an dumber bunch of grown ups. The nonsense they spew is unbelievable. No wonder that this country is no longer respected in the world. The Republican Party is just a bunch of un-educated babies who are only busy filling their diapers. Surely does not look like "grown-ups".

In a NC-17 rated SNL satire skit, CPAP would be a bunch straight heterosexual guys, sucking each other dicks, as they fight over who gets to suck Donald Trump's dick the most number of times, thus being crowned Trump's favorite in 2021. Lindsey Graham being the 2020 winner based not only being the best of the best, but willing to do so anytime, any place, and do it on camera.

My thoughts on CPAC? I try not to waste brain cells thinking about completely useless shit.

That being said, keeping an eye on fascists of any stripe is a good idea.

Yes the "world" has gotten an better understanding of how this country is "managed". All their respect for this country is gone. The golden" statue" was about as ugly as you can get, and is an good example on how far the GOP has sunk.

Especially Cruz, Hawly and others showed their real garbage "culture". A good thing that this "nutty" circus is over and done with. At least Trump can now relax and play golf, while "cashing in" on donations. Yes an real corrupt country.

Wwjd, I often enjoy your replies but the above one is epic because it's so true. You described these dysfunctional ones eloquently.

    • A plan to reinstate Donald Trump as president circulated at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

    • The outlandish plan involves ousting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and replacing her with Trump.

    • The conspiracy theory that Trump will be reinstated as president is popular among his supporters.

    • See more stories on Insider's business page.

Attendees of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas have been handed cards outlining a 7-point-plan to reinstate Donald Trump as president 'in days, not years.

The cards seemed to have been made by a group called Patriots Soar, which was not affiliated with the event organizers.

The outlandish plan involves ousting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and eventually installing Donald Trump in her place.

Donald Trump as Speaker would then call for a vote to impeach, charge, and remove "imposters" President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

As the Speaker of the House is third in the line of presidential succession, Trump would then take up the presidency again in this highly improbable scenario.

The plan hinges upon Republicans regaining control of the House, which they plan to do by pulling back the curtain on "the horror show" of the Democratic Party, causing groups such as the Black Caucus to "flip" sides.

The card links to a website that elaborates on the madcap scheme to reinstate Trump and claims to have proof connecting the Democratic party to satanic sacrifices.

The messaging alludes to popular QAnon-affiliated conspiracy theories that accuse the Democratic party of secret satanic abuse. A recent study found that around a quarter of Republicans believe that Satan-worshiping pedophiles control the US government.

The conspiracy theory that Trump will soon be reinstated as president has been popularized by prominent supporters, including MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and the lawyer Sidney Powell.

The card also refers to the widely debunked conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was fraudulent, which has been rejected dozens of times in court.

Insider has previously reported that there is no legal path for Trump to be reinstated.

CPAC, an annual gathering of top US conservatives, is taking place in Dallas this weekend. Donald Trump is scheduled to speak on Sunday.

Other speakers include Donald Trump Jr. and other Trump allies such as former Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf and Rep. Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn said President Joe Biden's call to offer COVID-19 vaccines door-to-door could lead to the government taking people's guns and bibles.

Cawthorn, a Republican from North Carolina, was speaking Friday during an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference event in Dallas, Texas, taking place this weekend. He was speaking with Right Side Broadcasting Network, a conservative media outlet.

"And now they're sort of talking about going door-to-door to be able to take vaccines to the people. The thing about the mechanisms they would have to build to be able to actually execute that massive of a thing," Cawthorn said, in reference to Biden's latest community-based vaccine push.

Biden said Tuesday that offering vaccines door-to-door could help increase vaccination rates as the Delta variant of the coronavirus spreads rapidly in several US states. The US also missed the White House's goal of inoculating 70% of adults by July 4th. As of Friday, nearly 59% of adults were fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.

Biden's remarks on Tuesday drew immediate pushback from some conservatives, including Rep. Lauren Boebert, who called the door-to-door vaccinators "needle Nazis." GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also made a Nazi reference, calling the vaccinators "medical brown shirts," a reference to Adolf Hitler's militia and paramilitary force.

The only thing I can say is: LA LA LAND. The crazies are running the show in the GOP. It is only getting worse; nothing has been learned here. The insurrection of the Capitol showed that this country consist of at least 45% lunatics. Who want to run the country based on Qanon preachings by "bullying" the masses. I guess Biden has not been informed about who runs the GOP. Anyway Stalin would be proud of them for sure. I guess everyone here is forgotten on how Hitler got elected and the aftermath of it. Amen

On the news today they showed a clip of former NY Times reporter speaking at CPAC proclaiming it was a great victory that President Biden did not hit the 70% vaccination mark because getting vaccinated is Politically WRONG for Trump supporters according to him. He literally stated that those who have not been vaccinated should hold out and continue to refuse to get vaccinated... And the CPAC audience loudly supported his comments that is it better to die of COVID-19 than to get vaccinated.

Man, that truly is screwed up Trump World thinking; even their supreme leader Donald Trump has been vaccinated. It is on par with Wacko World people who let their children die from treatable health problems because "God told them so", but in Trump World, it is because "Trump told Them so"

Heather's letter from last night is truly frightening, but here is the worst part:

Today, we learned that the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will be held in Budapest, Hungary, where leader Viktor Orbán, whom Fox News Channel personality Tucker Carlson has openly admired, is dismantling democracy and eroding civil rights. When former vice president Mike Pence spoke in Budapest earlier this week at a forum denouncing immigration and urging traditional social values, he told the audience he hoped that the U.S. Supreme Court would soon outlaw abortion thanks to the three justices Trump put on the court.

How many times I warned about the "corrupt" way this country is run; every idiot can do as he/she likes. They call that here "freedom" but it is not if you let the "idiots" loose on it, because of no "norms", no limits on anything, no "common sense" no discipline" , "awful education" and a bunch of States which make their own laws and do as they like, as well run their own"election" system and "rules, as well recount a zillion times the votes, even 8 month after the election is over.

De Santis even elected now an total idiot as Surgeon General, who is against "vaccines" and "masks" and was an"cheer leader" to use "chlorine" as an injection as Trump promoted. How deep can an country sink! Laughable for sure!

Hungary, has no clue who they invited. But yeah I guess the GOP loves countries without "democracy".

A "straw vote" taken at this year's CPAC meeting had Trump the #1 choice for the 2024 choice.

The #2 spot was won by Ron DeSantis.

Here's why that should terrify you:

Florida’s Sun Sentinel, in a scathing editorial take down of Gov. Ron DeSantis imagines the scene at Mar-a-Lago as Donald Trump sees his potential 2024 Republican presidential rival surging in recent polls of GOP voters and drawing interest from big-time donors.

“Now as the ex-president sees DeSantis emerge as his biggest rival, Trump must have buyer’s remorse. You can practically hear the dishware breaking at Mar-a-Lago.”

DeSantis went on to defeat Democrat Andrew Gillum in the general election by 32,463 votes, a margin of 49.6% to 49.2%.

The newspaper’s editorial board described DeSantis as a “bully” and wrote:

“He has governed with total contempt toward the 4 million people who didn’t vote for him. He’s as authoritarian as Trump, just as disdainful of democracy, no less polarizing and openly hostile to scientific evidence that doesn’t conform to his narrow agenda."

The editorial board urged voters in the 49 other states to take note of DeSantis’ record in Florida. It cited as one example DeSantis’ appointment of a “quack,” Dr. Joseph Ladapo, as the state’s surgeon general during the pandemic.

The Sun Sentinel’s editorial board observed:

"It’s terrifying to contemplate DeSantis in the Oval Office when the next pandemic inevitably comes along. When Nazis picketed at Orlando, he was silent. Exploiting society’s vulnerability to cultural warfare, DeSantis has prohibited schools, colleges and even private businesses from dealing honestly with racism and its ugly history. His law labeled “don’t say gay” by critics openly caters to homophobia, chilling sex education in schools and putting students at risk of being outed to their parents."

The newspaper also criticized DeSantis for his attacks on Disney World after the company’s CEO Bob Chapek criticized the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, his gerrymandering, "calculated to replace two Black Democrats with white Republicans," and introducing new restrictions on abortion rights.

It added that the GOP’s “post-Trump future” should not belong to “the intentionally divisive, polarizing and humorless DeSantis.”

I wonder what DeSantis really thinks about the House Jan. 6 committee’s public hearings which have been politically damaging to Trump.

One GOP donor, Dan Eberhart, told Politico: “Ron DeSantis us lying in wait, sharpening his knives.”

It would be interesting to see what Trump has to say if asked whether he intends to endorse DeSantis as he did four years ago.

The narcissistic Trump always thinks of his own interests first — and those interests would be served by a DeSantis defeat in the upcoming gubernatorial election. Time to call fellow Floridian Roger Stone to open his bag of dirty tricks.

Yes I'm afraid that DeSantis may be the "devil" invited by the GOP. He's the biggest piece of filth running around. Why does this country always manages to "elect" crooks? Yes people the "system" here is the "cause". Our laws are just like patchwork on an rusty old boat; nothing reflects 2022, but the rust started already in 1776. Do as other countries do without the daily turmoil as here. About 20 Amendments on an piece of "parchment of 1776, since then is laughable. Rewrite the thing and keep it up to date as other countries do. Case laws are an joke here as has been proven. Even the Supreme Court can become an "dictatorship" by the Conservatives as is the case now. Sorry this country is doomed continuing on this outdated system.

If we want an "dictatorship" then DeSantis can be another "Putin" here. I guess the GOP would love that. Just "explain" the outdated laws as"suited" to the occasion and make "money" of it. Wild west still exists here; get your way with "guns" and "bullying" but not with "brains".

This info was in Heather's letter last night:

While Biden is trying to break Trump supporters away from the former president, the American right wing is doubling down on authoritarianism.

On July 15 the European Commission announced that it would sue Hungary over an anti-LGBTQ law and its refusal to renew the license of a broadcaster critical of the government, and today one of Hungarian president Viktor Orbán’s longtime advisors resigned over what she called his recent “pure Nazi” speech about “mixed-race” nations. "I don't know how you didn't notice that the speech you delivered is a purely Nazi diatribe worthy of Joseph Goebbels," she wrote. And yet, Orbán is still scheduled to speak next month at the August 4 meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas.

Nothing "new"; The GOP has lost its mind and brains. Reality does not count with them; neither "common sense". I still wonder how an Thomas with his fat wife ever got into the Supreme court. All of this shows that our "election" system needs an total revamp, as well an "two" party system is bound to fail in these times as has been proven over and over again. Do we really want an Russian like "system" with "dictators" and "oligarc's"?. Yes we've got the "oligarc's" already ask Musk etc. and the State of Texas. It showed this morning that 75% of the Dem's want to get rid of Biden; if so then we get an DeSantis instead as the new US "Hitler"? Do people here have "brains"? I guess not!!!

Just like the Pope visited Canada; wearing "clan" hats did made it laughable. Neither nothing will change there either, just like if Pelosi wants to visit Taiwan for the fun of it, "costing taxpayers money" and gets China mad.

What a world of "incompetence". In the meantime Russia keeps throwing "missiles" on the Ukraine; while the "world" can't do anything to stop it. Shaking my old worn head.
