What did you think of the various speech, especially trump's speech?

Trump's still on the podium talking nonsense. I couldn't stand to watch. Talking, talking, shouting, waving his hand. What is it? An hour at least? Will see highlights I suppose later on MSNBC.

I saw highlights of the other clowns speaking. They are all the "deplorables" driven by hate of liberals. The cheering crowd is beyond reason...scary to me that this segment of the American public has been driven to hate...even hate the FBI now.

Trump is in the pocket of the NRA. His words echo everything that the NRA stands for.

He's riffing, but its more like a some untalented smuck during karaoke that forgotten the words, so he starts making up shit that might fit... so bad.

Velshi and Ruhle followed. Velshi said his meandering speech was more reminiscent of Hugo Chavez's or Fidel Castro's marathon speeches. He covered 31 topics but never mentioned Russia.

The CPAC audience should be tested for mental illness.

The script, as written, was a decent conservative speech which clearly was penned by someone who is a mainstream conservative. Probably someone from CPAC.

It is easy to determine when he goes off script because he often contradicts what has been scripted and its obvious trump does not understand the meaning behind the scripted words.

    [pharaphasing]

Script: "We don't endorse the violence use of guns or celebrate the killing of people with guns"

    Shortly later...

trump riff: "If those trained men would have not been in a gun free zone, they would have blown away the shooter so hard and fast nobody would recognize the animal once they were finished."

    Another example

Script: "These school shooters are mentally ill and need help before they get their hands on guns."

    Later...

trump riff: "The shooter was pure evil, and loves killing people, a killing machine. We need to kill him before he gets to the school, not after."

trump is like a bad actor that always throws out the script and improvise his own version because he thinks the script is shit and boring.

Yes Schmidt, there is no shame here; indeed Nazi clowns. Yes it is scary indeed; what are the Dem's doing? I guess only the proper "media" as well Mueller can help. For the rest, this country is a lost cause if the same idiots stay in power.

So I agree with Jared; vote like hell in November and vote the assholes out!

CPAC is nothing more than a con circle jerk, it's where republicans go to masturbate on themselves.

Time: President Trump Went Way Off Script and Turned His CPAC Speech into a Campaign Rally

Trump talked for an hour and 15 minutes continually going off script in a manner reminiscent of his campaign rallies. He was clearly throwing out read meat to entertain, and quite predictably on cue, the audience started shouting, "lock her up" as Trump looked on approvingly.

This was nothing more than entertainment, and I'll bet MSNBC was feeling a bit duped in having to cover him for that long. Trump knew he had a captive TV viewing audience and played to that.

Once again, this is another example of Trump "playing the media" as he has so often bragged about. The real news story of the hour was the guilty plea by Rick Gates and instead the viewers (those who chose to sit and watch) had to endure 75 minutes of pure bullshit. Score another win for Trump over the media.

I saw some "snippits" but every time I saw his ugly face I tuned out. Yes this is the campaign all over again and his "base"loves it.

But yeah if the "deplorables" stick with him, how in hell will Mueller be able to remove him???????????????????

Everything Trump does is a campaign rally. From following the script of Lenin, the Republican Party has morphed into following the script of Adolph and Goebbels. They are authoritarians through and through.

Most recently, Scott Walker and the house speaker held a GOP event here in Wisconsin, Walker stated that republicans shouldn't be complacent about Trump's win or about republican politicians winning house and senate seats in 2016, he indicated that they are aware of a possible blue wave. Well, they (GOP) keep supporting Trump, so if they lose seats and if Walker is voted out, they only have themselves to blame. They'll find out what being "loyal" is going to cost them. BTW, Bruce Rauner (R) (IL) is probably worried too, but he didn't openly support Trump, but Illinois voters have buyer's remorse.

The CPAC convention is currently in progress, and will end tomorrow.

I just read a list of the speakers, and it literally gave me the hives.

The worst ones are Trump, Pence, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Sebastian Gorka, Paul Gosar, Rick Santorum, Scott Walker, Mark Meadows, Devin Nunes, Joni Ernst, Matt Gaetz (the guy who just threatened Michael Cohn), and Mike Lee.

Wow, I count 112 speakers. For those interested, the CPAC is run by the American Conservative Union. The current chairman is Matt Schlapp, whose previous job was Vice President of federal affairs at Koch Industries. One noteworthy tidbit on Schlapp from the Wikipedia link above:

"In September 2018, Schlapp tweeted a photo of three Democratic Senators, all of whom were people of color, and wrote, "Look at this photo conservative voters in WV, ND, IN, FL, MO, MT, MI, TN, AZ, NV." Critics, including conservative Bill Kristol and Tom Nichols, accused Schlapp of racial dog-whistling, which Schlapp denied."

Arizona, All pieces of filth; they are the main reason that this country is going down the drain. They all belong in the "nut" house.
