Two major guns shows within the immediate vicinity of the Parkland massive AR15 massacre.
Tasteless, hideous people who voted for Trump.
Cars packed into the fields on the Miami-Dade Fairgrounds on Saturday, where the Miami Gun Show was being held – an event that was held in spite of the shooting days earlier that has left the surrounding communities reeling with pain. Attendees had their pick of handguns, shotguns, and semi-automatic rifles; the very kind of gun that has once again been used for mass murder.
In the wake of the mass shooting that killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, a pair of two-day gun shows opened their doors to buyers and sellers in Hollywood and Miami during the weekend.
Sponsored by the Gun Show Team of Boca Raton, the Hollywood show was taking place at the German-American Society, 6401 Washington St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Items for sale include new and used guns, ammunition, scopes, knives and various accessories. Concealed weapons permit certification classes also will be offered.
America has totally lost its soul to guns and gun violence.
Tasteless, hideous Second Amendment people rule our nation.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
In regard to "A well regulated Militia":
The real reason the Second Amendment was ratified, and why it says "State" instead of "Country" (the framers knew the difference -- see the 10th Amendment), was to preserve the slave patrol militias in the southern states, which was necessary to get Virginia's vote. Founders Patrick Henry, George Mason and James Madison were totally clear on that... and we all should be too.
In the beginning, there were the militias. In the South, they were also called the "slave patrols," and they were regulated by the states.
I have directly benefited from the American wealth made possible by slavery even though I am not wealthy. It has been part of my heritage even though both my parents migrated from other countries and never owned slaves. We enjoyed the benefits of slave-derived wealth which has floated America economically years after slavery was officially forbidden.
And, we are still ruled by the Amendment which "which was necessary to get Virginia's vote. Founders Patrick Henry, George Mason and James Madison were totally clear on that... and we all should be too."
The stain on our nation of slavery and the violence generated by the Second Amendment.
