Up until very recently, the cost of Trump's parade was pegged at $12 million, but it suddenly shot upwards this past week to a rather staggering $92 million, roughly the cost of ONE F-35 jet.
Last week, the Pentagon POSTPONED the parade, and TODAY Trump cancelled it altogether. Rather than admit that it was a bad idea to begin with, he is now blaming local officials for inflating the cost, since the cost to Washington D,C alone has been estimated at slightly in excess of $21 million, with the rest of the money coming from the federal government.
Since Trump loves parades, he plans to attend a smaller parade at Andrews Air Force base, as well as another parade in France in November.
As of last month, Trump had spent $72 million on golf since becoming president. which proves that he really isn't concerned about the cost, but he IS embarrassed about the fact that the Pentagon isn't rushing to get the thing done.
