    Why send a robot driven Tesla around the sun? Looks like Elon Musk doesn't have faith in his self driving technology.

    On Tuesday, SpaceX launched the Falcon Heavy rocket from the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Fla., on a mission to loop around the sun for hundreds of millions of years.

    My question remains; what does all this fun cost? And what is the "payback"? Also the Russians are the only one's who bring/return people to the space station. Thus whichever way how will we fund such fun, if we can't even provide decent low priced healthcare to our people? Let alone taking care of "normal social services" as other "civil" countries do for the needy?

    I think it mostly privately funded. Not sure the cost. SPACEX agenda does not appear to build new military weapons.

    Got to love this, the flat earth society, which tend be trump's demographic, believe it was faked. Then again, they also believe the sun revolves around the flat earth, Big Foot is a military bio-weapon that escaped in the 1970s, and the Bermuda triangle is a where Atlantis exists.

    I love it entirely. A wealthy man who's not just going to sit on his piles of money. He is changing not just space travel but he's making electric cars far more available. He is doing things.

    Elon Musk is often described as an "American entrepreneur" but what is less known is that he was born in Pretoria, South Africa on June 8, 1971 to a South African father and Canadian mother. He was schooled in South Africa through high school, but left in 1989 at age 18 to attend college at Queens University in Canada where he also became a Canadian citizen through his mother. He transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 where he received BS degrees in both physics and economics in 1995. His entrepreneurial endeavors were always a part of his life, but didn't take off big time until after he finished schooling. He didn't become a US citizen until 2002.

    He currently holds South African, Canadian and United States citizenship. He is 46 years old and has a net worth of $20.9 billion. He is also an immigrant from one of Trump's "shithole countries".

    Fictional humor

    {trump while watching fox news}

    trump: "I want to make it so that we double tax immigrants like this SPACEX guy who came here and stole my American ideas and then stole American money from hardworking billionaires like me. I have some space ideas too, like a mission to be the first country to land on the sun."

    Elon Musk's talent is finding programs that sponsor huge grants.
