Less than 24 hours since the state of the union and already reports about Trump wanting a loyalty pledge of sorts from Rosenstein?? Stop the world so I can get off...

I didn't watch the state of the union because my temperament is getting too thin to deal, but the video excerpt I saw today with Trump calling for the ousting of government employees chilled me to the bone. That says it all.

I guess a lot of people here don't realize that Trump and his cronies are slowly but surely trying to make this country as Russia/Turkey/Venezuela etc. Trump wants to be the " I alone can fix it" dictator, helped by his butt crawlers who belong to the "Freedom Caucus" sponsered by the J. Birch society. That is the goal. Thus America wake up; Trump is getting what he wants piece by piece.

The coup is in full bloom. Right now ,this is the time of crisis. As the republican party pushes full ahead breaking any law they come across daily , the plan is now to take off all pretense . Soon they will admit ,it's a coup they will come right out and be openly engaged in a coup de etat.

It's going to get very ugly very fast , I want sorry to say.

Well I share the sense of rage. That's an emotional response that none of us can really control. However, we do need to put much of that aside and think critically of how we can overcome the artistry of the world's best con artist.

I have watched George Lakoff share his views on MSNBC, and he cautions the media to not fall for Trump's ploys by repeating and showing and discussing his daily Tweets. His tweets are designed to distract from the bigger issues, and they certainly seem to consume air time on MSNBC and CNN. Trump's tactic is repetition, repetition, repetition of the lies. Where did he learn that?

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it..............The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." --- Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

Yes Schmidt; "Goebbels" knew all about that; Trump has Hitlers "Mein Kampf" on his night table. However how are you going to fight such if also the "media" falls for such "trap"; as well the "evangelicals" who think he's Jesus's second coming.
