What is going on in the GOP? How come that this total asshole can just hype up the place and playing the Judas all the time to help Trump in all crazy ways possible. Who is going to stop all this nonsense? Looks like the guy is continuously protected by GOP sweethearts. What a sick government of incompetent idiots.

Tribalism. Republicans are soo tribal. Nunes can do almost anything and Paul Ryan will cover for him.

Nunes is a liar - conman apprentice. He is vile. I hope his ultimate fate is appropriate.

It should be pointed out Paul Ryan, could at anytime, removed Nunes from his position on the community.

I have no doubt that, in his own mind, Nunes truly believes in mass conspiracies that he is promoting. He believes that the entire government is being controlled by the DEEP STATE, who secretly meet in the middle of the night, after coordinating to have all national security systems be turned off, GPS systems jammed, and signal tracking disabled on their phones, just so their DEEP STATE meetings has no record of ever occurring.

Nunes really believes these DEEP STATE compiracies. It is akin to rolling back to clock to the 1600s, when religious\political promoting witch hunts: "She's a witch, she must be burned at the state or she will put a typhoid fever hex on the entire town"

Right Wing Town folk chanting: "Burn her at the state, Burn her at the state, She is a witch"

The DEEP STATE is no more real than witches, but that doesn't stop people from believing that the UNREAL is REAL.

but.... the DEEP STATE has been outwitted by Nunes and trump...lol. Seems like an oxymoron type of thing; exposing something that doesn't exist, and making it real. ;)

The New York Daily News recently ran an article that characterized Nunes as a little shady."

It would appear to me that Devin Nunes and his fellow Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee could themselves be guilty of obstruction of justice.

I listened to Adam Schiff a short while ago tell what just happened in the House Intelligence Committee. Over the objections of the minority party, the Republicans on the committee voted to release the "Nunes memo" to the public. Trump, has 5 days to review it before he decides to release it or not. This memo reportedly includes highly classified information that Nunes and his ilk have cherry picked out of intelligence reports provided to them by the intelligence community (FBI et al) with the understanding that the information would not be made public to protect national interest. The Republicans on the committee have put party politics over national interests. Furthermore they have blocked from release a rebuttal report prepared by Schiff and his Democratic members of the committee.

The Republicans on the committee also refused to share the report with the FBI or Justice Department. In fact they have just launched an official investigation into both the conduct of the FBI and the Justice Department without consulting with the Democratic members of the committee.

This just blows my mind. In listening to Schiff explain all the circumstances and conduct of the Republicans on the committee my head was just about ready to explode. I had to grab a drink and go sit outside to calm down. This is unprecedented in the history of the United States. Words cannot express my rage.

    Schmidt,

Feel ya from here..my own drink tonite didn't help...lost it when I saw Schiff today also. Still in a bad place, in shock.

Noticed you're in the Springs, which can be difficult as a Dem overall...I'm in Denver so in more plentiful company. Hang in....it's gotta get better.

    Fingers crossed. :(

Just now listening to Swalwell on Brian Williams. He says the memo 'seriously discredits' Mueller. My heart is sinking...

Yes Schmidt, I hope you remember what I said about the system here. Ryan is the culprit behind all of this. Just watch the stock market it reflects right now that it is going to crash. Today minus 200 points again. Also Trump just said that the Russian sanctions are not needed ( the implementation limit expired last night). Everything is so bloody obvious, about the "why"; the whole of the GOP must be held accountable once Trump is impeached.

Schmidt, I know how you feel. I have a difficult time watching\reading the news on so many things connected to trump because all the connections are very bad. There is little to nothing connected to trump that does not lead to something or someone that is bad. In my personal\professional life, I steer clear of people like trump for exactly the reasons we are seeing play out; such people will cause massive problems in the lives, businesses, etc that are linked back to trump (and people who are like him).

In the end, the country will survive it. The big BUT, is how much damage does he do while in office? Think of being in serious car crash, hit by a reckless and\or drunk driver. Sometimes innocent people walk away from the accident with just a few scratches, and life goes on with almost no interruption, BUT, there are those who critically injured and some even die. Those those who survive spend many years in rehabilitation slowly getting their lives back. Many crippled, never to fully recover 100%. When trump leaves office, who are the people who only have a few scratches, and who are the innocent people that have their lives nearly destroyed, and they their lives recovering from it.

Trump is a reckless and extremely dangerous. trump is a cancer. And cancer never ends with a good story; surviving it is the best anyone can hope for.

I think it is very suspicious that the memo was released the same day that Andrew McCabe left the FBI
