Yes Jared my feelings exactly; Pence is an absolute piece of "evangelical" dirt; like they say in Dutch; "achter de elleboog" which means sneaky; lying; cheating with a straight face.

Talk show this morning they said you can't trust Putin. Trump lies or exaggerates about everything he says. Putin and Trump have an established commonality. What does Sanders look like now?

I'm conflicted about whether I want Donald to leave before his term is up or not. On one hand, he's an incompetent neanderthal who is turning our country into a laughingstock. One the other hand, Mike Pence scares me six ways from Sunday. He's just as crazy as Donald, but is able to be crazy with a gentle voice and a smile on his face.

A President Pence would be a million times more successful than Donald could ever dream of being and that scares the living bejesus out of me.

We are on same page about Pence. trump is very unpredictable, but also very transparent. Pence is a much smarter politician, and only shares his radical ideas privately with like minded evangelicals. The one significant difference is trump truly doesn't understand his ideas are fucked-up or simply doesn't care because he profits by them. Pence knows better than to mouth off about things are going to tank his numbers and ruin his credibility.

I simply base this on my estimation that trump will continue to escalate and further abuse his power, triggering events far worse than watergate; forcing trump out of office. He may declare victory and resign for so-called "health reasons" simply because that is his best option compared to what he will be facing otherwise. If he had to choose between his business ventures and being president, he would resign immediately. He is only president to further his own interests, no other reasons other than ego.

We know he is a fuck-up, and that will never change. It's just a matter of how long and how bad our nation will tolerate it before forcing him out of office.

Agreed re: Pence. He is extremely dangerous. Right now Trump meshes enough with the reactionaries to accomplish what they want. At some point in time he will run afoul of them and that point will determine much about the entire character of the Republican Party in the aggregate and as individuals.

Imo, they will be exposed, if they haven’t already been as the destructive radicals that they are. There will always be a certain percentage that will vote Republican no matter what. These are the radical religionists that make common cause with the radical free marketolaters who worship the failed econo-theology of Von Hayek and Friedman. While I despair of the American electorate perhaps enough will come to their senses to vote out the radicals whose goal is to destroy the middle class and the country in pursuit of twisted piety and profit.

What are Orin Hatch et all expecting from this wonderful president in his promise to make America great again. Orin Hatch et all are already living the life of a "Great America". The only thing left to fulfil the fantasy of those who already have it great is to take away from those receiving unearned benefits. What else would be pushing these right wing radicals into euphoria?

The Democratic Party needs to recognize this and promise the middle class laws that will put money back into the economy creating a demand for workers at all levels leading to prosperity. The Republicans unabashedly passed every law possible making it easier, quicker and cheaper to amass fortunes bypassing labor. There should be no shame or delay in helping the middle class succeed the same way the upper class was helped to prosper. And nothing would be taken away from the upper class by lower class prospering through the demand for workers. The upper class would simply be exchanging certificates for real estate. That would be adding financial stability as a side benefit. The prosperity is proven, simply look at how it has been undone in the last 40 years.

Related to Pence becoming President, looking at the present situation, I think that only a clean sweep of the whole government can save this country. The total incompetence of this government right now requires that plenty of positions need to be re-evaluated related to knowledge of the job. Trump made a huge mess due to his selection of totally incompetent people like is shown on a daily bases. Therefore I hope that the Dem's get control again in 2018 as well 2020. People like McMuchin?, Carson, Pruitt, Miller, Cohen, Kelly, Ross and many others should be purged and replaced by competent knowledgeable people.

I'll add some more names like: Tillerson , Haley, Sessions, Kelly Anne, McMasters, Rooney, Ryan, Nunus, etc.

The title of this thread is "how sick can you get". If I take the title to have a different meaning than what is being discussed here, then the answer is "very sick"...literally if you follow the advice of Trump's evangelical advisor who says you don't need flu shots when you have Jesus.

Quoting Gloria Copeland, who with her husband co-founded the Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Texas, said the faithful who don’t have the flu can ward off the infection by repeatedly saying, “I’ll never have the flu. I’ll never have the flu.”

She also prays for you (and me maybe):

“Flu, I bind you off of the people in the name of Jesus,” she said, “Jesus himself gave us the flu shot. He redeemed us from the curse of flu, and we receive it and we take it, and we are healed by his strifes, amen.”

There you go folks. Who needs a flu shot when you have Jesus? However, I think I'll still use the grocery cart wipes just to be sure in case her prayer doesn't work on us heathens...Oh and...

I'll never have the flu, I'll never have the flu, I'll never have the flu...

Jesus never had the flu; in those days they did not even know what it was. I guess the people who follow up this advise better consult their undertaker. In San Diego 241 people already died from the flu. Science as well "development" does not count for those indoctrinated people. Too bad they have not invented injections against the Jesus mental "sickness"

Like I said so many times all these Jesus freaks "vote" as well; thus they voted for the "second" coming; yes Trump was that, only his sandals and camel pee smell is missing as well has about the same level of education as Jesus had in those days. Amen
