Right now there is an disaster brewing in Saudia Arabia related to an enormous corruption scandal; Also a Prince died in an helicopter crash. One thing strikes me as of interest; Jared Kussner traveled there 2 times last week; coincidence?

I would not be surprised if he went there to cover up some Trump family corruption tracks as ordered by the "idiot"

Another issue which Mueller should research.

    Comments?

Interesting. Royal and massive wealth means we will only know what is released. Will be interesting to see what might get reported.

They are consolidating power. They are circling the wagons. Too many liberals in the royal family . This could get ugly. For years the hypocrisy has been staggering as the bad behaviour abroad has been embarrassing and gross.

The Saudis are a crime family . But they have tradition. So they are getting back to their roots. Meanwhile they are starting to need funds . They have squandered their aquifer , pissed away trillions on war toys and alienated their neighbors .

The fat idiot dotard is along with the slimy Jared encouraging the coup .

I think it has far more to do with heir apparent Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman stamping out any possibility of competition than some conspiracy involving Donald's Son-in-Law. The Crown Prince is King Salman's favorite son and is favored to take over the Kingdom once King Salman dies, but Saudi politics are deeply complicated and that can change in a heartbeat.

Not everything is a vast conspiracy involving our President. The Saudi Royal family is deeply complicated and plays out like areal life "Game of Thrones." Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best one.

Saudi Crown Prince’s Mass Purge Upends a Longstanding System

"A midnight blitz of arrests ordered by the crown prince of Saudi Arabia over the weekend has ensnared dozens of its most influential figures, including 11 of his royal cousins, in what by Sunday appeared to be the most sweeping transformation in the kingdom’s governance for more than eight decades.

The arrests, ordered by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman without formal charges or any legal process, were presented as a crackdown on corruption. They caught both the kingdom’s richest investor, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, and the most potent remaining rival to the crown prince’s power: Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah, a favored son of the late King Abdullah."

    David Kirkpattick, NYT

What this looks like is Prince Mohammad bin Salman trying to ensure Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah, the former King's favorite son, couldn't make an attempt for the throne once King Salman dies. Like I said - a modern day "Game of Thrones."

I did not see any comments about the reason of all of this; it was "corruption" which lead to it. Since the Trump family has "buildings" there, it is my feeling that Kussner went there to cover their "tracks"; why sent a Jew to Jeddha? Also Trump and his cronies made a "weapons" deal with likely "kickbacks"; just like the "idiot" is doing right now with Japan as well S. Korea. I would not be surprised if some of that money (washed and cleaned) flows back to the Trump family.

    The "Trump's" are "Corruption Inc."

They killed another prince today . Kings Zaweeds youngest son or something resisting arrest. I think that some dude is cleaning house as he consolidates power. It happens all the time it is what happened in Afganistan. A couple times , so there is a power struggle and parts of the country are ungovernable.

    Crazy world.

I agree. Countless "strongman" countries have conducted political purges throughout history. Kim Jung-un did it after rising to power in North Korea, as have many other dictators. They fear the slightest hint of having their power questioned, so they just kill or arrest anyone who could be a potential rival.

One man want's to control everything in his country, like a dictatorship, kind of like Trumpism. People like these want to micromanage every function of their country. Assert their authoritarian rule/s.

MSN News, NY Times: Case of Missing Lebanese Prime Minister Stirs Middle East Tensions

Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri made a sudden trip to his political patron, Saudi Arabia. The next day, he unexpectedly announced his resignation by video from Riyadh, the Saudi capital.

He remains in Saudi Arabia. As the New York Times reports, "the Iranian-backed Hezbollah movement, part of his governing coalition at home, charged that the Saudis were holding him against his will, while the Saudis have said they were protecting him from an unspecified assassination plot."

Hariri's disappearance and resignation is bewildering, and taken together with the arrest of Saudi Arabian princes and wealthy businessmen last weekend and also the Saudis ordering its citizens out of Lebanon on Thursday — it fuels anxiety about escalating tensions in the Middle East and a possible military conflict.

Is this a prelude to a possible invasion of Lebanon by Israel? And what the hell was Jared Kushner doing in Saudi Arabia on a sudden secretive mission? Something is going to happen there soon. I just don't know how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together right now, but I expect we'll find out soon enough.
