The United Nations is a worldwide respected organization, except in Israel and with Trump Republicans. Other nations put seasoned diplomats in the post, and Trump putting someone like Heather Nauert in the position is disrespectful. She will have difficulty being accepted as a true peer by her fellow members. However, if she charms them and doesn't open her mouth much on foreign matters that she knows nothing about, then maybe she'll survive. In any case the position is being downgraded...she will report to the Secretary of State instead of the President.

Former FOX "news" commentator Heather Nauert just withdrew her nomination to be the next U.N. ambassador because she had employed an immigrant nanny who wasn't legally allowed to work in the United States.

The Trump organization recently fired a whole bunch of illegal immigrants who worked at Trump golf courses. In addition, Mar-A-Lago resort applied to import 70 foreign workers in November of 2016, the Trump International Hotel in D.C. currently employs a number of illegal immigrants AND Trump used roughly 170 illegal Polish immigrants to do demolition work on the site that eventually became Trump Tower.

Logically, shouldn't Trump resign due to his use of illegal immigrants? That list also would include Melania Trump, who wasn't a legal immigrant when she first started working in this country.

Arizona, now the issue is, of Ivanka taking the job, which plays right into Trumps game of increasing his power play. Sorry but I guess this country does not realize the game Trump plays every day in order to become an real dictator. Wake up America, you are taken to the edge of the cliff.

    Dutch:

Back in October, Trump apparently thought that his daughter would be a "fine" U.N. ambassador. NOW, he thinks that she would be a good candidate to lead the World Bank. What could possible go wrong?

Here's a key sentence from the article:

Unlike some of the other proposed candidates, Ivanka does not have a background in international trade economics, but she has been a businesswoman.

    Well, THAT was fast.

It wasn't long ago that Heather Nauert was nominated to be ambassador to the United Nations - but she never got confirmed. She continued to work as a spokesperson for the State Department until April 3, 2019. On March 29, 2019, Trump appointed her to serve as a member on the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board, the 12-member board meets in Washington, D.C. and is responsible for supervising the Fulbright program.[

Trump's current nominee for U.N. ambassador, our current ambassador to Canada, also has a lot of baggage - as do MOST of Trump's nominees.

Since January 1, our ACTING U.N. Ambassador is Jonathon Cohen, who is actually a career diplomat.

What we are seeing and experiencing is what is normal for Trump, and it what makes him thrive. People locked up in cages is normal an good in Trump World.
