Donald Trump heard that NBA champions Golden State Warriors had some players who did not want to visit the current administration in the White House this coming February. The team advised the decision would be up to the individuals on the team. Not wanting to be turned down, potus withdrew the invitation... okay.

In a recent speaking engagement the president made reference to Colin Kaepernick as "that son of a bitch". It was Kaepernick who peacefully knelt during the xxxxx National Anthem (corrected) Trump said the NFL owners should have fired him right there.

This is huge on social media and even rivals are standing up for both Steph Curry and Kaepernick and many are not pleased with the presidents divisive comments. The lines of us against them seem to make sense to our immature president. I hope it is a wedge between his party and voters.

I realize sports aren't important to some but they're people too. At an awards show Stevie Wonder knelt to show support.

People of the world are watching and listening, and are thinking, did Americans really, actually elect this idiot as their president? Sadly, yes, they did.

They could even re-elect him. Few of the Trump voters have any regrets and the Bernie revolution is just getting started in splitting the Democratic Party.

"How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
    Easy to be proud
    Easy to say no

Especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice

Do you only care about being proud "

62% of people in America believe Trump divides Americans.

Dutch, we can only hope he stops himself, either by a heart attack, a stroke, or a more serious mental disorder. Other than any legal means, it is impossible. Possibly divine intervention of some sort, even though I don't believe in god or a god, there's some force of intervention I might hope for. If I believed in god or a god, I would pray for god to shut him up.

I thought great song but why... ? I slowed down and listened (Yes you typed). The lyrics are good. A good song for sure.

I personally defend Kaepernick and his peacefully making an overdue point. I at the same time pay tribute and say thanks to all who served. MY country is not 10 ounces of cloth but the good people who fill the streets and treat each other well.

Social media and the Sunday morning news are all over this divisive action. I always check the comments and racists chanting "F the snowflakes" are everywhere. Hopefully we are on verge of a blizzard or avalanche.

It is the social injustice that is a plague in this country, and, instead of a president trying to get people to come together, he remains as divisive as ever, even more than before. Peaceful protests of this country's problems is being dragged into the gutter by Trump and his supporters. We're going backwards as a nation. It's Trump against us, the people who want to come together, not to separate. I now view Trump as a dictator.

The good is the increased discussion of the topics. A common criticism mentioned today is how Trump doesn't like these athletes (74% black in the NBA and 70% black in the NFL) making their opinions and concerns known. The hired help should entertain us on demand but shut up. His pre occupation with Kaepernick is far greater than his concerns about a Neo Nazi killing a woman in Charlottesville. There were really fine people on both sides that day. Murder = acceptable. Kneeling = nefarious. Many knelt or locked arms in solidarity today.

On the morning news programs it was stated that this is the newest - latest distraction to the fake news about the Russian investigations.

Please have another cup of caffeinated coffee Mr. Mueller.

Figuratively speaking, trump is a rapist personality, the type of man who is unable to get an erection unless he is about to rape someone; he feeds off the power, and can only achieve orgasm during the process of rape. The more brutal the act, the more intense the orgasm. Health men could never bring themselves to rape someone.

I think history will prove that Kaepernick to be on the right side of justice and the american way, not trump. Just like how Mohammad Ali is considered a great american sport figure who refused to be drafted. trump denouncement will only be stacked on his legacy of being a worst president within the last 150 years. A coward of a man who used people and events for his sole benefit no matter what it cost others, and cost the country.

I honestly believe Kaepernick had zero negatives against our flag. ZERO. He is concerned about African Americans being profiled, arrested, beaten shot and killed and receiving inadequate justice. He's using a platform available to him.

If you're all bent out of shape because your symbol isn't respected..... I guess you can't see the totality of the much bigger picture. Slavery was ended 150 years ago. Equality maybe 50 years from now. Supremacy is the soup du jour.

... and if we look closely at the actual event. It was the national anthem that he took the knee, its only by extension (and assumption) that his intention was dis-respecting the flag. And I agree, its just a symbol that means different things to different people. To me, in this context, it represents "power and control". trump is using it to manipulate his base; they don't see it, but they are just political pawns. trump does not give a flying-Frisbee about any one of them (or the US flag). he'd sign any bill into law, even if it screwed over every single one of his base. he'd just tell them something else they wanted to hear, and they'd cheer him on. trump himself could repo their car and house, and they'd happily had him the keys.

In one of my favorite movies "Circle Of Iron" at the end, when Cord opens the book of enlightenment, he only sees page after page of mirrors, and he is told: "There is no book of enlightenment"

My guess it is only an "racist" issue; the NFL consists of 70% blacks; Trump wants also to increase the travel ban, based on racist/religious discrimination. This guy is an total danger for everyone in this country as well outside this country. Impeach him now!!!

Add NASCAR to the mix. This will piss off the Southerners. I love the John F. Kennedy line referenced. Poignant.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable" Well said Mr. President. Wouldn't you know it would take an important and intelligent Democrat to put things into prospective.
