Me not know where you're at, but from photos I've seen, there is severe damage.
This is a report from Ft Meyers NBC broadcast yesterday after the eyewall passed.
Take for instance a tornado that ripped into Plainfield, Illinois (F5) a few years back, there was a swath that was totally decimated, but on the other side of town, buildings were untouched. In the uploaded photo, notice the lower right part where destruction occurred, and the upper left portion where it appears nothing was touched.
Keep in mind why we may not have heard from Dutch, 5 million are without power, and recovery may not have begun yet. Roads might be blocked by debris, areas might still have high standing water, it's probably a big mess down there, it'll take time to assess damage and get into some areas.
