Listen to this short interview with Limbaugh as he explains why trump's supporters voted for Moore even though trump did not endorse Moore. It is an perfect example how the human mind can rationalize the irrational. Judge for your self.
Hannity interview with Limbaugh. insider.foxnews.com/2017/09/29/rush-lim...
Paraphrasing Limbaugh's rationalization of the election of Moore: "trump's base is sophisticated enough to elect the right politicians even when trump endorses the wrong ones. His base has his back no matter what he might say or do that is wrong. They will do the right thing even if trump will not; they'll correct his mistakes so he can be successful"
It is important that we understand that trump's base because they see\feel that this is THEIR time. They perceive this to be a major historic event where the far\fringe right takes full control, just like how the country shifted to the left during the 1960s. They believe the trump movement is as bigger and more important than the civil rights movement of the 60s; they believe that trump will change not only the US, but change the world, and someday trump will be on Mount Rushmore and have a statue twice as large than Lincoln in DC. That is their perspective of what is happening right now in our country. This is their reality, they don't just perceive themselves as wing of the republican party. Are they correct, or simply delusional just like that crazy uncle at family reunions believes without a doubt that Richard Nixon was framed?
