One thing you have to admire about the evangelicals. They take their civic responsibility to vote very seriously. They vote in "yuge" numbers, and they vote Republican no matter how flawed their candidate is. No purity tests. They are a big part of Trump's base and Trump delivered big time for them by putting Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. That's why Trump goes to Alabama to get his fix of adulation. They cheer him...they love him...they love Gorsuch.
Liberals bitch about the evangelicals voting for Trump and that the evangelical vote is significant factor in his election. However, liberals can never, never match evangelicals in passion and voter turn-out...not even close. That is a significant advantage for Republicans. Liberals just love to bitch about evangelicals, Trump, government, the rich, Nancy Pelosi, the DNC, Obama, and much more, but ask them to vote and you'll get every excuse in the book. I know because I have knocked on all their doors in the days before elections. I may just as well have hung out a "gone fishing" sign myself.
We are the government that we elect whether we vote for our candidate, stay home in protest, or vote for the "other guy" to teach a lesson. It is our democracy at work. For all the things that liberals stand for, they could have it all if they just voted in the kind of numbers that evangelicals do. They don't. Sad!
