I've always had respect for McCain even though I disagree with much of his politics. When he sees\hears crap from republicans, often he calls them on it. He would never sell out to Trump and call him godfather (so-to-speak) like Trump wants from every senator.

Hoping very much that he has improved conditions and comfort. He certainly deserves more respect than he has received the last 12+ months.

He should never have stayed as long as he has in the government; if "term limits" would be there; also to be applied for the supreme court, then we would likely not have the mess as today. Sorry to say I'm not an fan of McCain, since he torpedoed Obama all the way, let alone supports an Democratic agenda. I don't wish anyone cancer either, but cutting all the environmental and EPA rules in this country will increase cancer chances for the people here, thanks to the GOP agenda which he supports.

Mr. McCain, Thank goodness you have large stacks of money. Those without wealth would take aspirin and make funeral arrangements. Healthcare. Now there's something worthy of the nation's attention.

That's correct, he crashed about 4 Navy airplanes, blamed them on defect in aircraft manufacture. He spilled his guts when captured in Vietnam, told his captors when and where bombs would be dropped, he squealed because he wanted to save his own skin. Who can forget or forgive his singing about bombing Iran during his presidential campaign? Who can forgive or forget him picking a dingbat running mate?

    He's a failure as a legislator too.

Yes, the grim reaper is on his way.

It's a good thing this good 'ol boy has the best of medical care which is probably free for him, anyone wonder what it would be like for someone who is poor or working class to be dying of cancer? I know, my mother had, and died of cancer because she couldn't afford treatment. Another case of Amerika turning it's back on it's less than fortunate ones. But they can afford airplanes and bombs. We are a very sick nation, very sick.

Dock and Main absolutely correct, he has not done anything to make this an better country. Yes, I forgot all about Palin his running mate; must have been the brain tumor already at that time to select such an "trophy"

Yes we are an sick nation and will get even"sicker" with the Trump Care plan. Wow.

Whatever happened to compassion and decency? We're talking about someone's life here.

I disagree with John McCain on a wide range of issues, but that doesn't mean I'm happy he has brain cancer. Seriously guys - that is fucked up.

I encourage you to look in the mirror and ask yourself if you're ok with yourself rooting for someone to die. If you are able to answer yes then I feel sorry for you because you have no soul.

This is getting awfully close to violating our community rules.

I'm going to ask you to disagree with John McCain on the issues and not cheer that the "grim reaper is on his way."

If you can't then I would encourage you to not participate in this conversation because any future threads calling for his death will be removed. (This goes for any member who calls for his death.)

Oh, and he was captured (and tortured for years) in Vietnam; not in North Korea.

I stand corrected on the NK - Vietnam reference, but he did spill his guts. He was a war hero wannabe.

I have no remorse for my statement about the grim reaper reference, karma is a bitch when you do the wrong things to try to get ahead in the world. He'll be judged in the place where he goes.

And BTW, don't tell me to mirror myself, you know nothing about me, so if you dislike what I write so badly, edit and/or delete my posts like you have before. My advice to you is to stop being a bleeding heart for someone who is a warmongering ass.

Docadams, I am unclear; where and why did he "spill his guts"?

"Like many American POWs, McCain broke down under torture and offered a "confession" to his North Vietnamese captors."

    rollingstone.com/politics/news/make-bel...

"But by McCain’s own account he may have begun cooperating with the North Vietnamese within three days of his capture and was fully on board within two weeks, providing specific intelligence on his aircraft carrier, its aircraft, and the support vessels attached to it, information that was later featured in North Vietnamese radio broadcasts"

If all\most of that is true, what insight does that tell us about McCain?

That he is not an honorable person.

Who would have the audacity, other than a person like Trump, to joke about bombing another country singing a tune to it, during a presidential campaign? Because you know, dropping bombs does kill people, and it kills people who were not supposed to be the target of those bombs, the innocent, it's known as collateral damage in military terms, there isn't anything funny about it.

In this video, this is a picture of a girl burnt and running from an American napalm attack:

What did this innocent child have to do with America's war on Vietnam?

This is Mc Cain jokingly singing to a beach boys tune, Barbara ann

Yes, but you can't blame this just on one person; was he "drafted" or an "volunteer? Yes the Vietnam war should have opened the eyes here, however we never learned from it, not even after the Iraq debacle. If you hear the GOP fanatics now, they love wars and the military as well the war industry as does Trump. Thus in other words, we may get into even more wars and get even more John McCain types to promote such. Where is the barf bucket.
