Beginning on July 5th 100,000 protestors in Hamburg, Germany were holding signs declaring "Welcome to Hell" and "The World is Not For Sale!" because these protestors knew that the Capitalist systems of the G-20 have been responsible for Global Warming, the poisoning and destruction of the planet, the biggest dealers in military weapons and unending wars for profit.

A new movement in Europe is growing that supports a united Europe that will support the increasing use of renewable energy, that will no longer participate in unending wars and weapons sales and will support a fair, equitable, economic system to replace the destructive, soulless, greedy, corrupt, war mongering system known as Capitalism.

There is no question that Capitalism is a malignant cancer around the planet destroying everything it touches. It is a unjust, unfair, dishonest, greedy, inequitable system that has resulted in 8 men gaining more wealth then half the world's population.

Capitalism must be destroyed if life on this planet is to be saved.

The armed services are good examples of getting a job done without the motive being profit. Profit for a motive reduces institutions to event productions. Money should be regulated so it stays in the system and is not hoarded out of circulation. Money was created to facilitate the trading of goods and services. It was not created to be taken out of circulation. Money serves an important purpose and should be treated and regulated like thevresource that it is. Just like any other resource.

Connie; thanks. people here don't understand this. They elected the biggest hypocrite idiot ever, who only has "money" and "power" as objective; nothing else. Indeed "capitalism" creates "greed" as well "laws" which only apply to the "normal" people but not to the rich or powerful. Result; corruption on all levels in the society.

Europe will choose its own direction and eventually will treat the US as an third world country. Trump proved he has no manners nor dignity at the G19, nor wanted to learn anything.

What do you suggest we put in its place?

What should we do if what you suggest is put into place and things get worse and not better?

What happens when we just get rid of capitalism without having another system prepared to enact in its place?

As Isaac Newton's third law dictates - "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction."

Your weekly rants are amusing to read, but you never seem to think critically about the consequences of your proposals. You just seem to allow your incoherent anger to cloud any ability you may have to think about things from a broader perspective.

Jared, you lived way to long under this system; thus you are indoctrinated like the the rest of this stupid country. Sure it does not has to become all of a sudden an real "democratic country" it would help if, it would to consider all the things I proposed , like no "electoral college" no "money" or Super Pac's involved, no voter suppression, term limits, no lobbyists, no pill pushing on TV, etc. you name it. Sorry Connie is 100% correct. Stop your "blocked" view and think international, not the "island mentality".

The military drives profit through outsourcing of services previously done by the military. We saw this in Iraq and Afganistan. It also drives the military/industrial/university complex. It is the ultimate pig trough for profit.

Lonely; simple, replace it with an Democratic "social" inclined system like Canada or other European civilized countries ( Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain) at least they have decent healthcare and no Super PAC's or unbridled corruption.

Capitalism is abused but it is also the essential system of most developed countries. The most socialist countries with a few exceptions still have private ownership of their industries. They simply regulate for the benefit of their citizens to a greater extent. The United States simply gives fewer citizens control of money.

Those countries are capitalistic but they have compassion, social awareness and a conscience. Nordic capitalism is the description of their capitalism.

The armed services can't withhold or sell off services for profit.

The armed services are a tool that are abused to create profit for people outside of the services but the armed services don't collect profits. The US allows abuse of all its systems for the profit of a small minority.

No Chet, these are absolutely not capitalistic countries but "socialistic" just like Bernie is preaching "socialism" is totally different than "communism" what you describe. Certainly "money" is not part of elections, neither "super PAC's. Socialistic sliding scale tax structure makes it sure that all social programs can be paid for including infrastructure, welfare, healthcare, social services of all kinds. No one is homeless. But the industry can thrive as much as it wants but is taxed on their profits. More Ferrari's or BMW's than here. The only real "capitalistic" country is the US.

Yes Dutch, if this country were anything like Spain, they'd hold these mining companies responsible for degrading our environment, like Spain did with a mining corporation that's trying to pollute our waterways here in Wisconsin. Too bad Amerika is so profit driven, this capitalistic society we're in is unstoppable now, it's too late.

doesn't replace capitalism. there are companies in countries all over Europe that are for-profit. that being said I have no problem with single-payer healthcare and the elimination of money, lobbyists and so-called think tanks which distort the political economy from the political and legislative process.

Dutch, as much as you may wish it to be so it is not. Europe is not a socialist society. it has social programs and safety nets. it most certainly regulates capitalism. but the individual nations do not, generally, own the means of production. I represented products from one of the biggest, Akzo Nobel, here in the states. do not get me wrong, I support the vast majority of what Europe does from a social standpoint but to claim they are not capitalist is flat out wrong.

No Lonely; their government base is not capitalistic as it is here. Sure they have plenty of companies who do business here and elsewhere. As with any company they have to make profit; however in Europe the lobby system is not allowed in government affairs like here. No NRA's etc. who have influence on law making. So again the government system there is not as corrupt as here; multiple parties create an better balance in governing as well prevents polarization. As well as straight forward "voting" without money or "electoral colleges". Furthermore "no Super Pac's or billions of money just to do elections, which corrupts everything. Capitalism is the overtone here; Socialism is the overtone in Western Europe. I've never seen so many institutions here who beg for money, because the social structure from the government side is defunct. Thus sorry the US is an super capitalistic country, not western Europe. Sure there are plenty of European industries who produce great products but pay their workers decent wages as well apprentice training and great healthcare. If you talked to the Dutch Akzo Nobel then you should know, that the social benefits over there are much better than here, including pension benefits and family leave etc. Sorry the US is still in the stone age related to "social" services done by the government here and certainly is even more reduced by the Trump dictatorship. Compare the number of "billionaires" in our government to the number in Sweden in their government. Don't let me laugh.

Guess what; the huge demonstrations during the G19 were against "capitalism" ( did you see the signs?)

Note: China and Russia are much more capitalistic than western Europe, but related to "services" to people and government structure they both remain "communistic"
