That is what you don't understand.

You don't know me. You don't know why I volunteer. And you sure as hell don't know what I do or don't understand.

I'm going to ask you to stick with what you know and not try to act like you know who I am or what my motives are.

You don't think people need help. You are always saying "lazy asses". You are fundamently conservative in a country that desperately needs lberal/progressive corrections to correct 30 years of right wing proaganda. Period.

Please show me a single instance where I have said people don't need or deserve help.

Just because I don't agree with your batshit crazy proposals doesn't mean that I'm some monster who worships Ayn Rand.

Bernie signaled the problem with the entire economy when he suggested taxing some of the Wall Street Trading. I have been saying that if the penalize derivative trading and rewarded jobs producing trading the economy and country would thrive. The derivative trading short circuits money from the real economy to purely gambling trading. That kind of trading does not provide for products to sale and that is what an economy is about. Derivative trading simply stagnates hundreds of billions if not trillions of dollars. Stagnated that money in huge accounts to securitize gambling for the sake of providing fees stagnates the economy. Here and worldwide.

You said the miners are unemployed because they wont get off their lazy asses.

That is a flat out lie.

Here is my entire quote concerning coal miners getting off their "lazy asses." (Please note that "lazy asses," "lazy ass," or the word lazy in any form doesn't appear a single time...)

"If they are able to work and are able to move then yes - they need to get off their ass, move, and find work in the 21st Century economy. Green energy jobs are in; coal jobs are out. That's the world we now live in, Chet.

Now, if they are unable to work for whatever reason then I want to help provide for them and I have never suggested otherwise. However, you lose me when you bemoan their plight, but refuse to encourage them to find work in an industry that is hiring at a rapid pace.

Employment and economies change, Chet. The whale oil industry was left behind when fossil fuels were discovered. The elevator operator industry was left behind when people figured out that all you have to do is push a button. Horse drawn carriage operators were left behind when Henry Ford rolled out his Model T. The list goes on, and on, and ON!

Our country shouldn't spend an endless amount of money trying to keep yesterdays jobs going strong simply because of nostalgia."

I know how much you like to cherry pick the things out of peoples responses that conform to your preconceived beliefs about them, but this is a low point even for you.

You really need to get a grip man. It's quite easy to call your bullshit considering we archive everything on this site. I encourage you to stop putting words in my mouth if you can't back them up with evidence.

Here's a reminder for anyone who needs to get caught up:

You accused me of saying people don't need help.

    I proved you wrong.

You accused me of calling people "lazy asses."

    I proved you wrong.

Will you admit that you look like an absolute fool considering I just called your bullshit and proved that your accusations are a flat out lie?

Or will you do what you tend to do when someone calls your bullshit and just change the subject or ignore it outright?

Here's some helpful advice. Before accusing me (or anyone else for that matter) of saying something, I encourage you to go to our search bar at the top of the website and type in some key words to make sure they actually said it before accusing them of saying it. That way you won't look like a fool when they prove you wrong.

Would you like to accuse me of anything else or do ya want to call it a day and go home with your tail between your legs?

I use the same license you use when you say I don't volunteer and go hide behind my computer. Don't protest outrage when you make up charges not founded in anything.

Have I ever accused you of not volunteering? There's a big difference between asking if you volunteer and saying you don't. I don't know you, so I would never accuse you of doing something or not doing something unless I had facts to back it up. That's what normal people do. You should try it sometime.

A question is different than an accusation. Do you understand the difference? Please note that this is a question and not an accusation, hence the bold question mark.

This is what I'm trying to get at, Chet. Stop putting words in my mouth. If you are unsure of what I said then do a quick search and figure it out before making yourself look like a fool.

"You don't know me. You don't know why I volunteer. And you sure as hell don't know what I do or don't understand."

Grow up. I inferred you volunteer because there is a need for it because taxes don't pay for somebody to do it. Calm down and comprehend the entire post. Or try to spin this into something else.

Are you demented? Just a question. Does it mean or infer anything? Another question. Just stop. A statement. Okay?

" You don't know why I volunteer." You totally discarded the meaning of what I said in order to start another rant.

Said jaredsxtn:" they need to get off their ass, move, and find work" and jaredsxtn says that does not infer lazy that the coal miners are not lazy.

To change the subject, let's get back on topic.

Chet -- As an observer on this dialogue and at times the recipient of your "cherry picked" out of context tirades, I wish you could be more objective. Sometimes you remind me of Trump...on a mission to prove you are always right by pushing your ideas again and again. When we push back at you, you get your feelings hurt and start attacking the messenger. You have much to contribute to the dialogue on this website, but playing the victim and twisting other's words or meanings doesn't score you any points. Many of us disagree with you on several issues. Just accept that and don't be so thin skinned.

Schmidt, I understand what you are saying and understand your point of view. But be live it or not I learn a lot from these exchanges with jaredsxtn. I know I expose myself to criticism with blanket charges and generalized statements about specific issues. But this is a discussion forum and there is no better way to learn. Don't forget that I endured over a year of criticism and ridicule while I was explaining to the forum that Trump could win and why he could win. If I was thin skinned I wouldn't have endured those berating attacks but it was a learning experience. I'll try and not challenge jaredsxtn anymore.

I welcome any and all challenges. That's the entire point of debate. I've never said my opinions are the only opinions that should be accepted.

My main issue is having words put in my mouth or having my words distorted to make it seem I say something I have never said.
