I posted under another thread that I thought he looked confused. I think he appeared not to understand or to not know how to best answer questions. Honestly was my preference. He kept suggesting that he didn't know if Trump would want executive privilege to be exercised. I thought it was pathetic because he's the top rung of the ladder.

    This was just on Facebook.

I don't have any sympathy for Sessions. What I saw was a man who was in a catch-22. It appeared he had direct orders from Trump to keep his mouth shut, but Trump was not willing to provide him with any cover\protection. Sessions, and I assume most of Trump's direct reports, understand they must stay within laws\rule, but they witnessed first-hand things trump has said or done that directly violate laws\rules\ethics, and Trump does not give a flying frisbee, yet expect everyone on his team to back him up no matter what.

IMHO, Sessions wants to be the loyal soldier but is very afraid that Trump's actions past\present will send Sessions to jail, while Trump, as president, has 100% immunity from all crimes. Session and others on the Trump team could be convicted of crimes, sit in jail for several years, while Trump is playing golf at Mar-a-largo making Billion $$$ deals with new friends in foreign countries. They don't want to betray Trump because Trump is their only hope for a pardon if they are caught in the FBI dragnet.

Trump maybe bullet proof and taking full advantage if his immunity knowing the FBI can't convict him of even littering, but the FBI can take out everyone around him who know illegal things are being done at Trump's direction. His staff don't inherit his immunity by proxy. They won't be dissolved of responsibility by saying "I was just following orders".

I have no sympathy for Sessions either. I hope and pray that the entire administration spontaneously combust. While I know that won't happen it doesn't stop me from hoping fate and/or Karma keeps them uneasy.

During testimony it was obvious that he wasn't smart enough to be there.

Luckily I was not home, but saw some of it last night. Sorry to say this guy is pathetic. Like I said many time "taking an oath" does not mean anything anymore in this country; it is all B.S. Trump wants to reintroduce "water boarding"; let's try it on Sessions ( Mr E.T. does not "recall" or "remember")

As I said so many times, this country needs an total "overhaul" in order to make it functional.

All of this may take forever until they all are thrown out.

To me it is very clear, especially when Sessions said there was absolutely no "collusion" with Russia, that indeed by the way he said it, there must have been "collusion" for sure.

My take on it was that he personally was not involved, but since that time he Trump has made him aware of activities that he did not want to know about. Given that Trump can't keep his mouth shut, he is likely to boost to some of his top staff of some campaign BS that went down. Now they are aware of stuff that they had nothing to do with, yet could be held accountable indirectly. Trump doesn't damn because he knows he's not going to jail, and he has no ability to understand that others on his team might have to pay for his crimes. He might blow it off by saying "Don't worry, I'll pardon everyone if I have too" as if that makes everything OK for them.

Yes Trump selected all these dumb ass people from the southern uneducated States, like the EPA guy from OK etc.

The reason is I guess he does not want people around him who are smarter than he is, so they will stay LOYAL.

I'm surprised his pants didn't catch on fire. I get my material from Stephanie Miller.
