Vox, June 15th: Meet the all-star legal team who may take down Trump

"Special counsel Robert Mueller's legal team is full of pros. Trump's team makes typos".

The article is worth reading for anyone who has doubts that the legal system will not ultimately prevail. Trump will not survive and many in his administration will go down with him. Mueller will hit Trump from all sides. He won't know what hit him.

Great article. I am hopeful but will remain somewhat skeptical until things go our way. The talent is impressive.

    Schmidt, that's an informative read.

Lately, Trump has dismissed the probe of himself as a witch hunt.

Trump has until June 23, 2017 to turn over any tape recordings he made with Comey in the white house.

The thing I always disliked about justice, is that the process is just really slow. Hopefully, Mueller and his team with be thorough.

Huffington Post: Special Counsel Robert Mueller Reportedly Assembles Grand Jury, Ramping Up Russia Probe

The pressure on Trump is getting more intense. He will not enjoy his 17 day golfing "working" vacation.

From Vox: The Trump-Russia investigation is headed to a grand jury

The article leads of with a by-line: "That's huge"

Quoting Vox: "The call for a grand jury is done for a specific purpose: so that prosecutors can subpoena documents they might not otherwise get, ensure witnesses testify under oath, and formally charge someone with a crime if they decide to. It’s unlikely Mueller would have taken this step unless he felt there was a good reason to do so.

"And there is apparently good reason. CNN reports that the special counsel has found the financial ties between Trump associates and Russia to be among the most fruitful areas of investigation."

Hopeful but skeptical. Perhaps the truth will override the the loud overconfidence the buffoon lives under.

TJ, knowing Trump, he will do everything to derail Mueller; however Trumps position is getting weaker by the day since the Russians are mad that he was unable to stop new sanctions; so I think the Russians may cooperate more into the investigation, especially related to the "money" trail.

Oh Schmidt, do you think that Trump worries about anything? I don't think he has a conscience or any remorse for anything he's done.

But I am glad a grand jury is into this investigation now, it seemed like it would never happen, I'm so happy.

Oh Trump is deeply worried about the Grand Jury investigation might reveal about his past financial dealings. Possible reason why he cannot show impartiality in our government dealings with foreign countries like Russia. You are absolutely correct though to say he lacks remorse or has a conscience. Everything is for the present...for himself.

A grand jury is not impaneled to prove innocence. The leak said the grand jury will subpoena regarding the meeting with the Russian lawyer in Trump tower. That appears to make it look bad for the Donalds and son-inlaw.

Chet, they're most likely going to follow a money trail too, all roads lead to home, Trump.

Mueller has 16 high powered lawyers covering different aspects of the investigation. He has wide latitude to let the investigation go in whatever direction the "smoke" blows. The grand juries gives him subpoena power. This investigation will go on well into 2018 maybe even past the mid term election. Mueller will not be broadcasting findings...some things will leak but not to the extent that the White House leaks.

Trump is worried less about the Russian collusion in the campaign than the potential bombshell impact of disclosure of his financial dealings with the Russians that may have compromised his presidency.

    My opinion...

That would make a lot of sense, especially since he has sworn over and over again that he has had zero dealings with Russia.

The only problem is that his most ardent supporters simply don't care. They would have screamed bloody murder if it were found out that Hillary had any business dealings with Russia, but they can never get mad at him for anything. He really could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Avenue and not lose a supporter.

My main concern is that Donald is going to simply pardon anyone that comes close to getting seriously caught up in this. Another concern of mine is that the Republican Congress will move to grant immunity to his family or friends as a backdoor way to never holding anyone accountable for colluding with a foreign hostile power. They did it during the Iran-Contra scandal and I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again.

I don't know a lot about a Grand Jury except every time a 99.92756 % guilty cop goes before one they walk out patting the backs of their buddies then go to the bar smiling and laughing. What makes this time more real or actually serious and not decided in advance. I just don't know. I want to believe but have nothing to base that on. Nothing at all.
