The worst part of the French elections is that the Trump crazy-ness has rubbed of in Europe ; Le Pen is even worse than Trump. However the election is not over yet the run-off will be May 7th. So I keep my fingers crossed. If she gets elected Europe will not be the same again. I fear for the worst; if you deny the "holocaust" then there is something wrong with you. Unbelievable what damage Trump has done to the world.

But not everyone in France is crazy about Le Pen, most French now view her as being dangerous because of her meeting with the Kremlin only weeks before the election and because she embraces Trump, I think the French don't want a repeat of what happened here, at least let's hope. I got this point of view when watching a Charlie Rose airing today.

I think everyone who has heard her big mouth now knows she is batshit crazy, like someone else we know here in Amerika.

I'd also point out that most parties in France are rallying around Macron. He received a million more votes than Le Pen and there's a very good chance she will be obliterated in the head to head election if the various parties convince their voters to vote for him.

T.J. correct; the Russians are also involved, so we'll wait and see. Crazy world out there. At least the Dutch dumped Wilders; I hope the French do the same with Le Pen.

Unsurprising. There appears to be a percentage of people that requires the "other" to blame for their pockets being picked by capital.

Excellent story; thanks T.J. for sharing this. At least the French and Dutch prepared themselves; here we are still struggling with the Flynn shit and his non vetting as the same with Trump's non vetting.

    Touché.

Although I will point out that the US and France have entirely different electoral systems. A multi-party system makes it a little more difficult to elect a demagogue to lead a country.

Russian hackers are quite capable. Not just stealing info but flooding social media sites with fake commentary to spread an intended slant. Hell, you could almost imagine stealing an election. Nate Silver is holding on line 2. Ha ha.

The Dutch news papers reported that part of the hacking and distribution of the hacked e-mails as well fake mails were done by the American far right as well the known culprits from Russia. The Digital Forensic Lab as well an Jack Posobiec who runs Rebel TV were involved according to them. Too bad I don't have the time to translate the article. However it is clear that he US is about as bad as the Russians, meddling in other countries elections. I just wonder what Trump knows about this. He surrounded himself with filth like Bannon, so I would not be surprised if he helped with this, via his connections. The French will certainly dig deep to find the culprits. Hopefully the outcome tonight will be in favor of Macron. If not then the US will have lost Europe as an reliable partner. Thanks far right bastards.

Furthermore an French member of parlement (Corinne Erhel) collapsed and died during campaigning for Macron in France. Another very suspicious death; she was only in her 50's

It's a huge day in France politically. I am hopeful but uncertain. What sold well here exactly 6 months ago is available for Europe. I look forward to positive results. The Russian angle is more huuuge than most of the world realizes. Their massive influence peddling won't slow down. Most Americans with incredibly short attention spans can't be expected to literally pay attention.

Macron won over 60% Le Pen 35%. Hoera. However if the idiot Trump dares to congratulate him, then he should receive the title of the biggest hypocrite in the world because he did everything to support Le Pen. So actually an defeat for Trump.

I hope the French will find ways to procecute the "hackers" ; including the American helpers who put fake news and hacked e-mails on Facebook etc.. Bannon and his cronies starts smelling badly.

Thank goodness reason has won. Not sure what the meddling Russians can put their dirty hands on next.
