Do you think he would really roll over and reveal what really happened during the Trump campaign?

Or maybe he's willing to be the fall guy, and claim he did all the dirty work testifying that Trump, and everyone else in the campaign, were totally in the dark related to the Russians. The loyal soldier to the end.

I don't know what conditions the FBI attaches to immunity, but I sure hope it includes passing a lie detector test related to being truthful about all information that is provided. Take the lie detector test before testifying, and then again after.

Watching MSNBC tonight, Jeremy Bash said the only reason the committees and the FBI would grant immunity to Flynn is if they thought his testimony would implicate someone higher up. Flynn reported to Trump. That's where the buck stops.

The particular testimony that they would want is the gist of Flynn's conversations with the Russians after Obama had imposed sanctions. The evidence suggests that Trump himself ordered Flynn to talk to the Russians about sanctions.

Would that violate any laws, or it simply dirty politics to uncut the Obama administration? Seems like he could say "I was just telling the Russians what they wanted to hear". I suspect there a history of Flynn chatting frequently with the Russians, which is the root of the suspicion.

If Trump ordered the removal of sanctions from Russia sometime soon because of pressure (blackmail) from Putin on his financial holdings or dealings, debts to Russian oligarchs, collusion on the election, or some golden shower video, then it would be grounds for impeachment. Having conversations about sanctions and what they mean would not be illegal --however, they would be regarded as inappropriate considering that Trump wasn't sworn in yet.

Since Trump has never criticized Russia for anything, one cannot help but feel that Putin has leverage over him. What Putin wants is sanctions removed. So does Tillerson.

Nothing is going in Trump's direction, which I find very telling, so it's looking very much to be a cover-up of something, and how much did Trump know and authorize. He very well could have authorized things during the campaign because he never expected to be elected, and instead of being investigated, he would right now be attacking President Hillary Clinton with the continued help of the Russians. The political focus would be on Clinton, not himself, Trump would just be feeding the fire.... Of course, we shall never now what is going on in that alternate reality. :)

Along those lines look for any unusual business deals that would benefit Trump the citizen but embarass a normal President.

This fiasco is the core of our political interests (mine anyway) and could have historic impact. I would hope a serious bipartisan investigation would start. While I am skeptical that it will happen, News groups should see this as the target they're in place to go after. The Obama election blew the minds of Republicans. The reelection absolutely floored them. Therefore the only thing needed was electing a white man. If he will push their conservative agenda that was the bonus. This Investigation must be a priority because aside from partisan politics many believe the (without word spin) Truth is still pretty damned essential.

Which ever way you look at the present situation, it remains an "mine field". The more you see or hear, the bigger the chaos.

Until now there is no coherent story about anything. Indeed as someone said an "hearing" even under oath does not work. Republicans and their cronies are champion liars; thus only hooked up to an lie detector may work.

The more I see, the more I get the impression that this country, its rules and its Constitution are being manipulated and twisted and turned in such way that any normal person can't get a grip of where to start or where the end is.

So actually this whole thing is an self inflicted wound, because of lack of decent education related to human nature as well an weird way we run an government or elect people; "greed" and "power" runs the show here.

Not only that , he should have a security detail because we need him alive. I knew he was getting prepared to talk when he registered as a foriegn agent. The leadership of the RNC was actively colluding with Russian intelligence to smear Clinton along with other democrats . I also believe that the Russians hacked into voter registrations to manipulate the actual vote. They went further any way they could. Flynn is filthy. He is a traitor. They are all traitors.

Trump is a criminal. The rest are just traitors. I would not be surprised if the entire Trump team defected to some Russian state in the trump plane in the middle of the night.

Flynn' testimony will be ambivalent enough to cast sTRUMPet in a bad light but not enough to rise to the level of impeachable offenses. By itself it might be enough to result in criminal charges for himself but the immunity will remove that threat. Republicans will either muddy the waters or do much harrumphing with no result. Bottom line is sTRUMPet will continue as he has since dirt is something he is used to being unethical and, imo, criminal in his business dealings.

And if the Democratic Party doesn't find a spine and a set they will get their asses kicked in 2018 and sTRUMPet will be re-elected in 2020.

Wishful thinking; they won't defect; they will keep ruining this country until the bitter end. Trump is an stubborn idiot who loves defeat, so he can then point fingers at whatever happens to be in his way. No , I don't believe he's an easy "pushover"

He's got just about the whole family advising him, so what could go wrong?? But yeah "l'histoire ce repette" Look at the whole Romanov family, at what happened to them.

Some Russian state? When impeached, I'd send them to Siberia.

No, the Romanovs were the Russian Czars and their kids, who all got killed by the communistic uprising.

Michael Flynn has now been charged with lying to the FBI. He has pleaded guilty and apparently is cooperating with Mueller. Don't know the details yet, but as Flynn left the court room, a crowd outside was chanting, "lock him up, lock him up!"

Didn't Manafort post $11.5M bail? Yep, the chickens are coming home to roost. If I were the feds, I'd let Flynn out on bail, then watch him like a hawk to see if anyone from Russia or the Trump administration tries to contact him, and record every phone conversation he has and record any meeting he might have, just to see who is interested in his plea. Did Flynn sing like a bird? or did he just admit to lying about ties to Turkey, Manafort is a foreign agent, we know that much, Flynn is a foreign agent too. Hopefully, all this comes back to Trump and his cronies. I'd be interested to know what lies Flynn told the FBI.
