Again his ratings hit an new low, now an 37% approval rate. Just wait till the "tax" reform bill follows the same path as the "healthcare" debacle. This is the lowest for any President within the first 100 days.

He is a wounded animal. Floundering around the other animals are starting to look through him like he could be supper. But he's very dangerous. I actually called and wrote my congressman and demanded indipendendent investigation. The leadership of their party is in crisis. They are looking very bad here. The press is on the war path. Meanwhile the fat idiot is getting desperate. He basically says how much he hates you and that you should work with him in the same breath. He is delutional. Not rational. Installing his family. Jared kushner now runs out entire government . Dudes father is a convict. Dude just hung out with Russian mob bankers last year. What the hell.

We are living in a nightmare.

Yes, he's burned up a lot of his political capital he got from the being elected and the bonus capital of the 1st 100 honeymoon. On top of that, it has now been demonstrated he can be beaten at what he does best, being a closer. The Freedom caucus kicked his ass, which sends a huge message that Trump can be beaten by opposing groups that stick together. Think for a moment if the health bill had passed, it would have been like union busting, the freedom caucus would be crippled, and Trump would be much more feared that he would take out other special interest groups that dare to challenge him. It was very pivotal in terms of power and control.

To use the sport analogy of boxing, Trump has been hit with a punk that knocked him off his feet, but not knocked out. If democrats are smart, they'll keep hammering hard and not let him get back into the fight. If they relax and allow him to clear his head, and score a few punches, he's only lost one round, which is no big deal so early in the fight. Trump would simply explain it later that he slipped on the mat that was wet, and it only appeared he was hit with a fake punch from a lightweight looser. ;)

Sorry I'm running behind. The approval rate is now 36%. I hope it will hit 10%

Democrats in the House could do a deal with the moderate Republicans except that they seem to want to keep applying the Hastert Rule (the majority of the majority) which effectively gives the Freedom caucus veto power over every piece of legislation passing thru that body.

I think a coalition of moderate Republicans and Democrats could pass some legislation (perhaps on infrastructure spending) but the "no compromise" Freedom caucus will block that as well. And in any case, if it passes the House, it will then have to get past Mitch McConnell in the Senate.

Nevertheless, if Trump gets fed up with the Freedom caucus saying no to everything, he might be inclined to "make a deal" with Dems. Call it the "Donald Trump Rebuild America Plan" and model it after Obama's Job's Bill that was killed.

Nice idea, but would his base go for it?

Democrats would never go for it as long he continues to make his presidency about destroying everything Obama did over 8 years.

What people most dislike about Obamacare is the name Obama. Take Obama name off it, call it Trumpcare, and his base would pay twice as much for the exact same thing.

Absolutely correct; Trump destroyed everything what "smelled" Obama; thus would you want to work together with someone who "groped" your wife and "bombed " your house and deported your kids?
