    Dear USA,

    Thanks for the warning

    Sincerely,

    The people of Holland

The dutch have their own Donald Trump, and after seeing Donald Trump in action and how Trumps presidency is nothing but chaos\turmoil, during their election they rejected the far right candidate Geert Wilders who, like Trump, was anti-Muslim.

He even has the same scary Trump look about him

Yes, if you have an system where only the votes count and not 1800's systems in 2017, then that is the result, also if you have an multi party system as well.

Because of our "antiquated" system here,we are now stuck with the biggest "idiot" ever; which may take years to undo the damage done by this guy. Let's hope and pray that he gets impeached soon.

I fear that the hateful / blame others for your problems and be exclusionary sentiments are being brought forward. Glad they didn't succeed "This time".

What do you mean? "your problems"? "'This time"? Anyway another thing which Jared likes, is that 80% of the people who where allowed to vote showed up. How many people voted (percentage) in this country?

Anyway the same as in Canada, an parlementary system, is an better representation of the population than an two party system, as well an "electoral college".

About the "This time" No; It has to do with the "education" of the people over there "school is mandated and "free" like Bernie wanted here. That is than the result, also felt in the voting booth. Here the "uneducated" won, which is clearly seen in the "fanatic" base of Trumps party.

Just to put all the 2016 vote numbers in perspective.

    USA Population: 323,950,000 (2016 estimate)

Voter Eligible population (VEP): 230,586,000 (over 18, excludes felons, illegals)

Votes cast for highest office in 2016: 136,701,000 (59.3 % of VEP)

    Breakdown of VEP:

    Non-voters 93,885,000 (40.7 %)

    Hillary Clinton: 65,845,000 (28.6%)

    Donald Trump: 62,980,000 (27.3 %)

    Others: 7,876,000 (3.4 %)

So Donald Trump received only 27.3 % of the voter eligible population. That does not support the idea that Trump speaks for all Americans.

They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, or the appearance of people, but to me, this man has the same whack job looks as Trump.

You're right Schmidt. The majority voted correctly but didn't play the system like the republicans have. Trump is not a leader of people but is an opportunistic man who can work a room. Sadly the room is the United States. He's going to end up smelling like a rose based on simple but effective psychology because he's not effectively challenged. I will pray for a comet to hit the southern white house golf course on a Saturday afternoon.
