The USS Gerald R. Ford hasn't sailed yet. The official start of construction was August 2005 with a ceremonial steel cutting. However, actual construction in a big way wasn't until three years later in 2008. It was christened in November 2013. It is expected to be commissioned sometime in 2017 with full deployment in 2019.
It seems like they have all these ceremonies and celebrations for a ship that will not see the high seas for another two years or more.

with it either, except pollute the world oceans with it at an huge cost to the tax payer. Any next World War will be fought with other "tools" than ships.
