Trump said that there was an teribble terror incident in Sweden. Wow. The Swedish replied; What have you been smoking Trump??? This Trump total idiot "invents" things all the time . Very Presidential indeed. Again an insult to an country which is run an thousand times better than this "island". Just for this insult he should be impeached immediately. If you hear his screaming Hitler voice at this rally; it gives me the shivers. It is really without any doubt Hitler's come back.

What I believe happened was that Trump had been watching Fox news where they had clips from a conservative Swedish documentary related to Sweden immigration problems. He thought the clips were "News" reports from that same day, thus when he referenced it at the rally, he believe it was common knowledge to everyone.

By listening to what Trump said in total on the topic of immigration, his tone suggested the label "Ni**ers" when referring to immigrants.

"We don't want those immigrants coming here.",

    it communicated to his base:

"We don't want those Ni**ers coming here"

He wasn't talking about terrorists, and never used the label terrorists, he was specifically talking about poor immigrants\refugees looking for safety. It really was very mean spirited in tone.

To his base, immigrants steal American jobs. Immigrants mainly fill low income positions that are extremely hard to fill. They are willing to curb toilets for minimum wage. There are millions of low income jobs that are hard to fill, and many businesses depend on immigration to fill those positions. If a position to scrubs toilets (etc) goes unfilled, guess who has to scrub those toilets in the meantime?

People want to be in on -"the know". The greater majority don't verify what they hear. I listened to Trump's Sweden comment. He presented it in a very low key manner like he was sharing information. His supporters eat it up. He is dangerous. But what will counter his danger is not outrage. A similar personality with safe truthful views has to hit the scene.

He is likely to slip up and comment on classified information given to him by the CIA. Something like: "Guess what folks, the CIA just told me today that..."

Or worse, he recieves classified information, and then he misrepresent that information to the public in ways that can not be verified. Example: CIA informs him that Iran has built 3 new nuclear power plants. But he publicly states (without consulting staff) that Iran has built 3 new nuclear warheads.

See the attack and murder of the North Korean dictator's half brother. The vilest cruelest dictators have followers that will do anything for the dictator. Even worse is people will act on their own commiting crimes and heinous acts thinking it will please the dictator. Trump never expected to win the election if his campaign is objectively examined. He is president thinking the presidency was given to him. He acts, talks and looks like he is on a mission. Not unlike the crusades. Dangerous.

How is it even possible that we are discussing the President of the United States like this.

Dutch, Trump never said there was a terrible terror incident in Sweden. The media is playing into Trump's hand by exaggerating the details. He gets more air time and when they can't show that he actually said there was a terrible terror incident in Sweden it strengthens Trump's support. It also strengthens his charge of fake media. Rather than exaggerate the facts the better action is to show the harm that is being done and the danger that could come from Trump's lies, lying and exaggerations. Trump is starting to win more people over. Schmidt now has said Trump must have had a well thought out plan to win the presidency. He won with pure luck.

Chet; who are you kidding??? Go look at the speech he held in FL. If I was you I would buy an Trump hat.

HELSINKI (AP) — Swedes have been scratching their heads and ridiculing President Donald Trump's remarks that suggested a major incident had happened in the Scandinavian country. The American president now says he was referring to something he saw on television. After he screamed of an "terror" attack in Sweden taken place there.

During a rally in Florida on Saturday, Trump said "look what's happening last night in Sweden" as he alluded to past terror attacks in Europe. It wasn't clear what he was referring to and there were no high-profile situations reported in Sweden on Friday night.

The comment prompted a barrage of social media reaction on Sunday, with hundreds of tweets, and a local newspaper published a list of events that happened on Friday that appeared to have no connections to any terror-like activity.

On Sunday, Trump took to Twitter to explain: "My statement as to what's happening in Sweden was in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden." A White House spokeswoman, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, says that Trump was talking about rising crime and recent incidents in general, not referring to a specific issue.

The president may be referring to a segment aired Friday night on the Fox News Channel show "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that reported Sweden had accepted more than 160,000 asylum-seekers last year but that only 500 of the migrants had found jobs in Sweden. The report, which was illustrated with video of broken windows and fires, went on to say that a surge in gun violence and rape had followed the influx of immigrants.

Reacting to Trump's original remarks, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Catarina Axelsson said that the government wasn't aware of any "terror-linked major incidents." Sweden's Security Police said it had no reason to change the terror threat level.

"Nothing has occurred which would cause us to raise that level," agency spokesman Karl Melin said.

Former Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt tweeted , "Sweden? Terror attack? What has he been smoking? Questions abound."

Addressing Trump in an article on Sunday, the Aftonbladet tabloid wrote, "This happened in Sweden Friday night, Mr President," and then listed in English some events that included a man being treated for severe burns, an avalanche warning and police chasing a drunken driver.

One Twitter user said, "After the terrible events #lastnightinSweden, IKEA have sold out of this" and posted a mock Ikea instruction manual on how to build a "Border Wall."

Sweden, which has a long reputation for welcoming refugees and migrants, had a record 163,000 asylum applications in 2015. The country has since cut back on the number it annually accepts.

Its most recent attack linked to extremism happened in the capital, Stockholm, in December 2010. An Iraqi-born Swede detonated two explosive devices, including one that killed him but no one else.

In the month he has been president, Trump's remarks and those of his staff have fueled numerous news media "fact checks" pointing out inaccuracies and falsehoods. On the subject of terrorism, Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway referred to a "Bowling Green Massacre" that never occurred.

Former foreign minister Bildt told Swedish Radio after his initial confounded tweet Sunday that he sees danger in how Trump relates to facts.

"If we are in a situation where there is tension in the world, we stand between war and peace," he said. "If we then have a president who spreads lots of false rumors, it can be truly dangerous."

Dutch, Plain and simple. Trump did not say there was a terrible terror incident in Sweden. But he has the whole world talking about him. He spent half the money Hillary spent because he got hundreds of millions of dollars of free TV time because of his outrageous speech and actions. Criticising him during the campaign did not cause him lose. Criticising him now is strengthening his support and getting him more TV time and exposure. Exaggerating what he said will get him even more support and help prove his charges about fake news. You really need to learn about how evil people use charisma for their benefit. Michelle Obama had the secret on how to deal with Trump. She said when he goes low we go high. Once again and you can Read my posts I said you can't beat a charismatic person by attacking and criticising. I said that from the beginning of the campaign when I said Trump can win. I described how Trump could win and even more importantly I described how to try and defeat him. I also sent the same information to Hillary's campaign. If you want to watch him grow in power keep on attacking and exageratting. It diverts attention from his promises. Especially the one about lots of good paying jobs.

    Schmidt,

Do you think attacking Trump and negatively exaggerating what he says is hurting Trump or playing into his hand? Do you think he is conniving or stumbling?

Trump is both conniving and stumbling, but we should not misjudge his ability to connect with the low information voter. I just posted a blog article on my sentiments.

Have you ever been in Sweden and worked there?? At least they did take in lots of refuge's ; what did the US do?, who started all this mess in the middle east by invading sovereign countries; but scream as hell if the Russians do the same, but without murdering 100's of thousands innocent people. Sure point fingers, but start pointing your fingers at this war mongering country first. Sweden never invaded any country and is an example for the world on how they run their country. Clean and neat country with "real" healthcare as well "real" education as well great economics. Learn from it America!!!
