I want to say that I agree with you that impeachment is unlikely, but we have zero idea what Democrats are going to find once the subpoenas start flying. Maybe they will discover something so damning that even Senate Republicans will finally fold. Or maybe they will dig hard for two years and come up with crickets because Donald actually wasn't a crook all along. I think the latter is not very likely, but who knows?!
What I'll be interested to see is what Republicans do when/if Democrats find something truly despicable. They all love Mike Pence more than Donald already, so why not get rid of Donald so they can work with Pence? You think Donald has been successful getting judges confirmed?! Just wait till a President Pence starts nominating them!
All of this is conjecture, but I think we're about to see just how strong Donald's grip on the Republican Party truly is once Democrats start running everything in the House. He no longer has both houses of Congress protecting him anymore. That can be a pretty dangerous thing for someone like Donald.
