I would agree .... except myself, as a conservative who did back Trump in the election, have been called deplorable, irreedemable, racist, sexist, anti-Semite, anti everything by the liberal left for over a year now and a few weeks ago I just decided enough was enough.

I love political discussions, its the only way to A. solidify your belief and B. gain new insights and beliefs

That said .... I want the next 4 years to be 100% partisan. I want Trump and the Republicans to ram through everything ad I don't care if the Democrats get nothing. The antics since November has shown the true Democrats IMO - its going to be 4 years of hate, 4 years of division, 4 years of attacks that will not stop. 8 years of Obama made 1/2 this country sick to their stomachs ... but we never rioted, never burned colleges, never asked for days off and quiet places when elections didn't go our way, never mass protested simply for another party winning.

I've come to the conclusion the left is exactly what those examples show - total civil unrest when it doesn't go there way. Intolerance for any views not held by them and unacceptable for other people to think differently.

Conservatives are welcome here, but you have to follow the community rules. One of those rules is you can't attack liberals. Another one is that you can't hijack threads and talk about whatever you want. Consider this a final warning for both.

Opposing views are welcome; attacking liberals and saying you want them to lose "bigly" is not. If you want to do that then head to one of the countless pro-Donald sites out there because any future post attacking liberals will be removed.

I find little value in talking to people who hold my own political views - there is nothing to learn from that. I tie things together - like matching Obama's Cuba order to Trump's 7 country temp ban because I think its valid.

    I am not a troll.

I'll be more careful, more constructive in how I respond etc. Its not my intent to break any forum rules

The "new" improved? Muslim ban was tabled today. It can't become even more funny now "eventually" /may be"'people from now 6 countries can come here only if they have an Visa or Green card. So please tell me the difference without this executive order? Even the Dutch have to get Visa's to come to this country. So it only applies to people who don't want to come here in the first place. Wow. fantastic all that paperwork. Silly as hell, but Trump is so happy with "nothing". What an waste of time and money.

I'll back you up on that. I'm 100% confident that you are not trolling.

Some posts appear to be baiting, but unclear to me if the baiting is done intentionally or not.

OK then, I am curious as to your view of MLR and his thinking\approach to handling of civil rights, which came from Gandhi. I am not making any kind of parallels or linking point in time to another. I am strictly curious as to your thoughts on MLK and the civil rights movement.

Anyway Hawaii is already fighting the "new" version of the "ban" as well Washington State and others are joining to repeal.

Lets hope they win and prove there is still commonsense here.

The Ninth District is a pretty solidly liberal district, so I wouldn't be surprised if they issue another injunction against Donald's new Muslim ban. I then see a more conservative Court of Appeals ruling in favor of it, which makes it likely that the Supreme Court takes it up. The silver lining there is that it could, at the very least, be put on hold until the Supreme Court rules.

What will be interesting is whether Gorsuch is confirmed in the meantime and if he chooses to participate in the ruling. There is an unofficial rule that encourages new justices to not vote on cases they weren't on the bench to hear, but there's nothing preventing him from doing so if the Senate does confirm him.

There's just so many variables here, but I have a feeling that the Ninth Circuit will block it and then it will get bogged down until Donald just gives up. Or, I guess I should say that is my hope.

Yes Hawaii won; another setback for Trump. He was in Tennessee bullshitting his "own crowd" and "lost it" in an screaming tantrum; he even said then I'll push the "first" version again. Just looking at that video clip, that reminds me of the real Hitler. It is really scary to have such "mental" patient as President.

Will the Supreme Court take a look at the Muslim Ban before their long summer vacation ? That's discussed from the Sunday morning episode. Now we will see.

I am more interested in President Trump's reaction if the Supreme Court agrees with the lower courts ruling regarding the ban, and declares it unconstitutional. What will he do?

He'll tweet a couple of insults about the specific justices that do not side with him and suggest the supreme court is ridged. We should not be surprised if he makes a comment like "I've seen medical records that suggest there are judges that are senile". using the tactic of lying to generate doubt about the fitness of supreme court.

If he does not get what he wants, he will be dropping a few tweet bombs that have no basis in truth, to let the supreme court he will target them publicly, maybe even come up with insulting nicknames and distasteful jokes:

"Come'on, she claims she 84, but she looks more like 104 if you ask me. I've got the FBI looking into her birth records to see how old she's really is. Have you seen her recent pictures, she looks like a corpse. I hope I am dead before I look like that!"

The underlining point I am making is that his base might find his comments\tweets offensive, but they admire that he shows no fear about going too far. In some sense, they are waiting\wanting for him to be at a rally and state without hesitation:

"Obama is a n-word, and nearly everyone thinks so, but they just don't say it. I am willing to say it because that is what he is. He's a n-word that lied to American people, so it OK to call him a n-word"

His base would give him a standing ovation for it too.

Next day at the white house press briefing.

    Sean Spicer:

"No, he does not apologize. It's not his problem, it's yours. You are taking the president's comments too literally. He wasn't making racist comments. It was meant as a figure of speech, that is why he used air quotes when he said the "N" word, He using that label to suggest that Obama was a very bad black person who had committed horrible crimes against his own race. The "N" word shouldn't offend anyone when the president uses it because he's not a racist, he only uses that word to make a point. If the president was racist, he would want to ban black people from entering this country, but you don't see him suggesting we ban black people from doing white things. They are just as good as white people, the president knows some black people, and not one of them have tried to attack him."

wwjd, You need to delete the racist words.

The usage was done carefully and sparingly. I believe Trump has privately used racist terms, and it likely to be the first president to go that far publicly knowing his base will support him when he does. He may even do so simply as a political move, even if he does not feel that way. His base would love the hear him verbalize their racist anger. I doubt Trump would actually pursue racist policies because he wouldn't gain anything, but expressing a racist tone at rallies would feed his base.
