Yes Dutch. Boing is upping the anti. Will Trump fold?

NBC News: Boeing, Iran Air Clinch $16 Billion Deal for 80 Planes

The deal is for delivering 50 Boeing 737s and 30 Boeing 777s over the next decade and is the biggest agreement to be struck with an American company since the 1979 revolution and U.S. Embassy takeover.

Boeing said the deal will support tens of thousands of U.S. jobs directly associated with production and delivery of the 777s and nearly 100,000 U.S. jobs overall. The first airplanes under this agreement are scheduled for delivery in 2018.

Republicans and Trump can certainly scuttle the deal...killing some 100,000 jobs. Will they? Trump has targeted Boing in an ignorant and misinformed Tweet about the cost of Air Force One...retaliation for Boing questioning his proposed trades policies and tariffs. Boing is pushing back now with a sealed contract that will employ American workers...real good paying manufacturing jobs in US plants.

I'll put my money on Boing.

Who is "Boing"???Never heard of that company!! Anyway Trump now attacked Lockheed about the cost of the F35; the stocks dropped about $11.- right after that. These industries will love this guy. He's an champion in creating enemy's.

Yes as Reuters is reporting, Donald Trump is now attacking the F-35 deal as too costly. As per Trump's Tweet:

The F-35 program and cost is out of control. Billions of dollars can and will be saved on military (and other) purchases after January 20th.

While we can certainly agree that this plane has been very costly and should have been cancelled long time ago, cutting the contract now after the bulk of the development money has been already spent, doesn't make sense...any more than cancelling the Iran deal after they got their money.

As Reuters points out, the much delayed and over budget F-35 is in production now and our allies Britain, Australia, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Japan and South Korea are all committed to buying versions of the plane. Furthermore, the jets are in operational use now by the Air Force and Marines, and are being flown by six countries: Australia, Italy, Britain, Norway, the Netherlands and Israel.

Is this what Trump considers the art of the deal...cancelling a contract after the bulk of the design and development costs have been spent? Yes ongoing costs are still a concern, but there is an optimum time to cancel contracts, and for this plane, that time was several years ago.

What happens after January 20th? Scrap the whole plane and start over? Russia would like that.

He is a self centered, drama queen bully who likes to push people around to show his hands aren't as small as they all say. If anyone reading has stock directly in or mutual funds with investment ties to companies Trump can piss on..... sell them now because he's clumsy, arrogant and rude and his childish tantrums could cost you money. Shame we couldn't have gotten any one of the other 17 Republican candidates. Right now I would welcome any of them.

The result is that Boeing just today increased their dividends by 30% Other companies are now also eager to start in Iran.
