Well, the Dems have done it again. Re-elected Peloci minority speaker. Will they ever learn? The country obviously doesn't want these tired, old Neo-Dems anymore as witness by their love of Trumpy. Peloci represents everything bad about the party (like DWS and Donna Brazile) when are they ever going to learn? Never, I'm afraid, NEVER!

Yes P.R. mistake upon mistake; they should have learned their lessons by now. Peloci is an nice old lady, but that is exactly what we don't need; we need an Democratic "Trump" figure with some more manners and less lies as well having "socialistic" educated brains.

My suggestion is that we all e mail the party and say goodbye. Advise that our loyalty, votes, positive comments on information or social sites and our time and money would like to collectively say goodbye. Perhaps an onslaught or wave of similar comments is what might wake their tired, disconnected, uninspired, currently useless asses up.

If anyone wants to suggest a universal e mail address, I am willing to participate because while nobody has officially checked for a pulse...... The patient is barely alive and most assuredly under representing those under the leaky umbrella.

When they piss and moan and ask for another chance (Because they will have senders e mail addr.) We can all say No, you're as useless as yesterday. Rebuild, regroup, refocus and then ask again - nicely and after significant changes and improvements, we will listen.

Pelosi is a witch, repub's are the bucket of water and yes ! She's melting ! Wizard of Oz. We have lost huge numbers since she's been there. A complete F 'ing joke.

6 weeks ago Trumpkins were the most stupid group by far. We are trying best to steal that title.

The real question is if not her then who? I'm not disagreeing with you that the national Democratic Party needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and do some soul searching, but throwing everyone but the kitchen sink out won't solve anything. In fact, it would likely make it far worse.

I also feel the need to remind people all the time that "all politics is local."

Oh, and Trump lost the popular vote by roughly two and a half million votes, so it's hard to blame Democrats for electing Trump.

If you don't like Nancy Pelosi to lead House Democrats then who do you like? Not just that, but I have a hard time believing that everything would be different if only we had different Congressional leadership.

House Democrats are going to be in the minority until 2022 at the earliest. That's because Democrats decided to sit on their asses in 2010 and allowed Republicans to redraw district lines in such a way that guarantees they will hold the majority in the House until the next census is conducted. And you can't really blame Nancy Pelosi for that.

The purpose is to say as leadership you're lost. If you want us to follow then get a map and do better. We are not the segments who's votes you now assume. Change / improve or goodbye.

I thought I heard Seth Moulton was interested in the position but perhaps it was another. At any rate they need some young, progressive blood to change their course. Old neo liberals are nothing more than old moderate Repubs who abandon their party when Regan and crew came to power. The country and Dems needs some true, young, progressive leaders, not off farts!

This is what upsets me about "anger" politics. It's not based in reality.

Seth Moulton is a soon to be second term congressman who decided to back Tim Ryan - a soon to be third term congressman - as the Democratic minority leader. Neither have any general understanding of the national party and neither would be able to help lead the party back into a Congressional majority.

Jared, Do you mean like Pelosi knows ? That's a joke at best. Look up the statistics since she's been in. Gen. George Custer comes to mind. Other than her own reelection, I don't think she has won anything at all.

Just searched Pelosi failure on Facebook. The remarks were comical as the Republican party are laughing their asses off. They are celebrating continued dominance of "our party"

Young conservatives give her a standing ovation. Denis Miller says it was a good move because it's not like she's an asshat. The prevailing theme was the complete disconnect that was apparent when the Democratic party lost miserably in the Midwest and the south.

If anything is obvious it's that we can Lock down the presidency with those irreplaceable states: Vermont, NY, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and California. Oh wait, we lost. Glad we are sticking with what got us here. 76 year old white woman. That is appealing to the young voters. Unbelievable !

Pr, I got the point you were making and I agree with you.

Yes TJ. I agree with all your observations; I guess I said a couple of years ago; that this is an weird country; you only confirm it now. As I explained many times this is the end of the US being an example for the world as it was just after WWII; it has gone downhill in an hurry. The "bullies" and the "rich" have taken over; so Democracy does not fit anymore. The Trump voters will be sorry, but of course never will blame it on themselves. The churches told them what to vote; thus blame Jesus for it.

I didn't say that I think she's our savior. What I said is that a 3rd term Congressman with no leadership experience and no general understanding of the national party isn't.

There's no doubt that there is a leadership vacuum in the House, but that has far more to do with the way the House operates and less to do with who the leader is at any given time. The minority leader has little to zero power in the House. The only thing they are privy to is receiving top-secret information and a bigger office.

If you really want new leadership for the Democratic Party then we need to look outside of D.C.

Thus Jared, you are saying the Dem's position is "zero power" so we may as well jump in the rowboats, because the Titanic is sinking fast.

That isn't remotely close to what I said. What I did say is that I understand how our government functions.

The House of Representatives is majority rule. The party in power gets to set the rules, run the committees, and vote on anything they so choose. The minority party is just that - the minority. They don't get to set the agenda, filibuster legislation, issue subpoenas, or call hearings.

I know it's hard for you to accept it, but you have a lot to thank Representative Pelosi for. She is the leader who helped pass the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Bill, Obamacare, the GM bailout that prevented it from going bankrupt, and countless other bills after President Obama was elected. The country would be a very different place right now if not for her leadership.

Anger politics is a cancer that metastasizes until it is unstoppable. I understand that you're angry and want someone to blame, but throwing everyone but the kitchen sink out isn't going to make that anger go away. In fact, it will likely make it much worse because then there will be a leadership vacuum at exactly the wrong time.

Look at the party on a national basis. Other than saying they have failed entirely one would have to just shake their head and laugh. I don't care if you put a dead dog in charge. That dog could hardly do worse. Might be time for people to expect more.
