He poked fun at politicians, Fox news, and extreme segments in our society. I don't suggest he tried to do bad but he was a champion of progressive causes and liberals across this country until about 1 year ago.
Last night I saw a current interview on the show on PBS hosted by Charlie Rose. He interviewed Stewart and Stewart gave me the first hope that I have had in over 2 weeks. He said you can't categorize Trump followers with blanket statements. Many deserve the negative consideration but many do not. It was really good television and PBS often replays episodes so keep your eyes open. I know there are many negatives and Trumps bad all day - every day. If hope is there that 30% of the misguided voters are just scared and not racked with hate... I will take that as an improvement over what I thought yesterday. I hope you all get a chance to view it. It opened my views and gave me some hope.
T.J. The issue is "education"; indeed Trump followers can't help they did not get any or only "bad" education. This is the "country's fault" by refusing to follow other developed countries related to their education structure and contents. Like I said before "sports" are more important than stuffing something into the "brains" what you can use in life.
If you get the right education then you likely are getting less "scared" because then you've learned to analyse things.
Also in this country" keep them dumb and scared' as preached by the GOP and churches, then you will have "power" over them, as these elections have proved.
