The biggest lie and it predicts potential disasters. Anybody knows that jobs left to get cheaper labor. Anybody knows to get those jobs back will take cheaper labor again. Trump knows that and that is why he said he will not raise the minimum wage. He said he wants to keep American wages low to be competitive. So then when that wasn't working he said he will get good paying jobs. That is impossible to get jobs back by paying higher wages. He stated that as fact when he first started campaigning. He totally contradicted his first position. There is no way around first saying he will keep wages low and then saying he will get good paying jobs. He very easily and quickly lied to improve his position. So if the main part of his campaign is a lie then what is he up to? What is the real purpose of his campaign ? What is his real agenda that he could lie so fast and so big? I'll keep your wages low with good paying jobs. That is alarming and it needs to be challenged to find out what he is really up to.

He lied so big, so fast and so easily that he has to have something big and selfish that he wants to pull off.

Not just about low wages. In the ole U S of A there's laws. Fair treatment of workers. Over time pay. Taxes. The EPA and DOT. Dozens of impediments that don't come up when you're running a factory in China or the third world. People in this country want crazy things like weekends or holidays off of work. They want a 401K. They want workmans compensation when injured on the job. They want to be able to hire a lawyer if they're endangered at work, forced to breathe toxic fumes or released for no good reason. Persons with factories in third world nations worry about none of that. 80 hour work weeks cost slave wage times 80 and that's it. Don't think for a second that if you found 1000 deplorable's willing to work for .50 per hour less than minimum wage that factories would want to move back to Mississippi when they give slave wages and dump factory sludge into the local river. Seriously Chet, it's far more of difference than paying a lesser wage. Those jobs are gone and few will ever come back. Do a Google search ** and find an average wage that's being paid to make t shirts, tennis shoes, or clothes pins. You may be shocked.

** I checked and in China unskilled labor is about 10% of the US unskilled labor wage. Plus no taxes, laws or benefits. Source: Huff post.

My post is about the lie that was a main plank of his platform. What you say further reinforces how big the lie is. He told a boldface lie that is the main part of what got him elected. This is more than conversation, it could turn the midterms heavily Democratic if it is challenged. When he falls through on good paying jobs he and the GOP will be jeopardized.

Plus labor is even being marginalized in China. Foxconn recently laid off 60,000 workers and replaced them with A1 robots. Capitalism doesn't care what happens to people until they run out of customers.

Yes you are right; that is why "capitalism" will eventually be the nose around our necks European socialism may work to spread the "wealth" ; i.e. an sliding scale on taxes; like in France the top tax bracket is 75%! Also the VAT in Europe is in an lot of places 20% or higher. As long as the US favors the billionaires, who stash their hoardings outside the country, then "workers" have the short end of the stick. Thus the simple answer is the more "robots" the less jobs; so don't blame the Mexicans like Trump does, but the greedy bunch like himself.

Human rights is the essence. But there is a long long way to go. Who besides me criticizes scholarships based on academic excellence. An examination of scholarships, valedictorian selection, warning kids of ending up flipping burgers. There is a long way to go from marginalizing and expending workers to making human rights the superseding rule.

How can prejudice be overcome when certain aspects of certain people is acknowledged without consideration to determine them superior. Who benefits when some kids get a free $200,000 dollar education and others are denied the right to ever go to college.
