Huffington Post, November 9, 2016: It’s Our Fault: Donald Trump Is The President We Deserve
I think this article exactly describes why we foolishly elected a Donald Trump. It is an excellent article, and I will certainly applaud those on this website who have highlighted our shortcomings and warnings to the point that we actually did commit a form of mindless political suicide.
I am still sick to my stomach the day after. I will forever look at my fellow Americans with suspicion and ask, "what in the world were you thinking?" It's insane that some 59 million plus of my fellow citizens voted for the worst candidate to run for the president in America's history and to beat one of the most qualified candidates to run for the office in our history. That says something about what we have become. It is ugly beyond words.

He'll appoint at least 1 for dead Scalia and Ms. Ginsberg isn't looking to perky either. That's why all of those "protest 3rd party" votes seem like an f 'ing waste of time. In retrospect, thank you to all of them for their electoral brilliance. We are screwed in about 6 dozen ways now.
The more I see on the news the worse it gets. What amazes me that all the protests take place in the cities, while the cities mostly voted Democrat. They should have their protests in the Rust, Bibble belts instead; however all these idiots have plenty of guns down there so it won't work. The best thing is to deport all these "rednecks" instead of the Mexicans.
Anyway if I see what Trump plans as his confidants, then it is an real Hitler group together, Heinrich, Himmler, Goering etc.
Cheap beer. When they take it to the streets because it's suddenly obvious that 'murica isn't improving and the hopeless poor are still the hopeless poor and there are obviously non white people at the grocery.... it will be brutally obvious that the deplorable ones were duped. When they march down the streets with guns in hand I hope they will have consumed plenty of cheap beer so they'll be easier to target.

Yes Dutch but the people who live in those places are the ones dumb enough to vote for any Republican so we won't find them protesting!
What amazes me are the Trump supporters who said the voted for him because they want a change - a change from what - a Republican controlled do nothing congress that doesn't give a dam about them so they elect a President from the same party based on a lot of BS and lies! These people truly are bigots and deplorable and they will never, ever understand why!

Here is another view as we engage in post election analysis.
Sarah Churchwell, The Guardian: ‘Hillary Clinton didn’t fail us. We failed her’
We have dissected her every move, and held her to an extremely higher standard than any male who has ever run for office. And we blame her for not doing enough or running the wrong campaign. The fact is she did everything required to be president...she did her homework studiously, she was careful with her words, she had the vast experience to step into the job immediately; and she was destined to perhaps be the best president ever...except she was a woman running against one of the guys. It is America and their lazy stupidity that failed her. She can hold her head up high.
America should be ashamed. They owe her an apology big time for being such incompetent voters.

He will lose all his supporters and the Republicans will be without a constituency. Pick a good Democratic candidate because no matter who it is it will be a Democratic cakewalk into the next Presidency.
