Donald Trump is going to lose and lose in a landslide.

I'm trying to not get too excited, but early voting numbers and recent voter registration statistics in a plethora of swing states show that he is in deep, deep, (DEEP) trouble. Older Republicans are known for voting early, but registered Democrats in the early voting states are far outpacing their Republican counterparts in getting to the polls.

The Republican Party only has themselves to blame for this Armageddon scenario. They have spent the last eight years trying to convince their base that President Obama is the devil reincarnate, so it's of no surprise that the base nominated a racist misogynist as their standard bearer.

I wish the Republican Party the best of luck in picking up the pieces of their fractured party after November. (Pun intended)

I'd be more confident if I had read about a recent and significant bounce in the polls. I'm looking forward to hearing Nate Silver advise their latest findings. With the debate next Wed. I believe it could be next Friday before real polls are reported.

Next debate and Fox...... I'm hoping for the best but wouldn't be shocked if it's a farce. Hopefully strong neutral parties can have significant impact and reason will prevail.

I would be the happiest person in the world if Clinton won in a landslide taking a few previously red states in the process. However, I have two concerns that may not see that dream realized. First, many liberals sensing that Hillary has it all locked up will not vote or decide to cast their vote for a 3rd party candidate to send a message to Hillary and the Dems. Secondly, for the same reason, many loyal Republican party members also sensing a Hillary victory, may not want this unpopular woman to deserve the honor of such a resounding victory and will vote with their tribes.

So we'll see. Trump makes news here in South Africa but it is all negative.

All Hilary has to do is nothing. Anything Trump does will cost him more shame and money. Like basketball Hillary just has to freeze the ball.

Like I said before don't cheer until it is over. Another 3 weeks and a lot can happen. wiki leaks keeps pushing out e-mails as well and may hold on to the most damaging one until the end. Furthermore the "evangelical bunch" was interviewed and are only focused on the "Supreme Court" nominations, because their pro-life and killing Planned Parenthood is their only objective, nothing else and they condone whatever Trump does; so this block of idiots has only one "agenda" , but does not care about "governing" or any other issues facing this country. Since an huge area of this country is so terribly indoctrinated by their churches, this will make it very difficult to win with an big margin, especially the elections related to House or Senate positions. The GOP has now put millions forward to GOP Senator etc. positions up for grab, in order to save the Citizens United garbage in the Supreme court. I think this is the most important issue, that the Supreme court stays neutral or leaning towards the Dem's side. If the evangelicals get their way then may be they all will go to their fantasy "heaven", but the whole country itself will go to "hell" certainly with an Trump.

Schmidt you're correct. I've always hated the low interest dems have shown in elections. It could bite us in the ass again. I read a comment by Bill Maher where he said what is troubling is that even if Trump loses, half of the country will think that he should be our president. The deplorable ones (and many are pathetic) have shown us all what a truly ugly country that we live in.

I remember reading a while backthat Trump ssaid he makes some of his best deals golfing. He alluded that you have to golf to deal with him. No biggy but a lot of people don't or can't golf. I thought then that this is not a person that is fair or open minded. His celebrated role on the apprentice that all his supporters worship is that of a narrow minded tyrant. The best thing about his candidacy is now there is identification of people that would support him.

T.J. what happened to you? I remember when you said I should leave the country because I was against the "deplorables" and stupidity here. But welcome to the "real" world here.

Dutch, I suggested you might leave because you always complained about this place and I felt you should be happy. This country has so many bad issues. Many are the results of income disparities. Most are tired and frustrated. It leads to narrow minded blame and then hate. This country is great on a million levels but there's a disconnect that must be addressed.

Tony, my actions where seldom complaints, but more or less pointing to things on which this country could improve upon.

Like "no wars", stop meddling and provoking wars all over, more equality, spending more on infrastructure instead of the military (we've got plenty of "nukes" so you don't need anything else), an clean environment, social justice, better "gun" laws, Police training ( no ex-military hiring; civilian "protect and serve" training instead), cleaning up our cities; no more slums, better healthcare (copy Europe; having control over drug/doctors cost) get rid of the "lobby" system, stop all the corruption here, get an multiple party system, so you don't get the "polarization" which makes an government powerless. Fine the poluters. Etc etc. If you don't think these are valid points; then you can call it whatever you like; may be even "complaints". I call them "suggestions"
