I enjoy bantering back and forth with you all, but we work on a hell of a lot of more things that don't have to do with responding to every forum post.

I also disagree with you when it comes to your view that this was a failed election. It was in the national sense, but all politics is local and my city and state continue to be one of the most liberal in the country.

We just elected the first openly bisexual Governor in our nations history and we have a majority in both state houses.

It sucks that Trump is going to be our President, but the vast majority of legislating in the United States is done at the local and state levels. I'm sorry that Florida continues to elect right-wing ideologues who don't believe in global climate change, but we on the West Coast don't have a say in how the people in your state choose your representatives.

Democrats lost the presidential election and thus won't offer reasonable nominations for scotus and won't be staffing a cabinet, working on better wages, working to aid the environment, keeping foreign policy in order, Making helpful changes to the tax code, Making sound decisions about energy, Making sound decisions about immigration, Making appropriate decisions about our lacking infrastructure.

Those are massively important and thus a "Failed election". Did I mention maintaining our Minority in the Senate ? I think what I said previously was clear and obvious.

I understand your anger, but this thread is about my participation in the forums leading up to the election and I was trying to explain to everyone that my life can't revolve around responding to each and every single post.

It's not my fault that over forty percent of eligible voters decided to stay home last Tuesday. And it's not my fault that our Founders decided to make it so the majority of votes don't matter.

I'm more than happy to offer solutions, but don't blame me for taking a day or two off every once in awhile so I can spend some time with my wife.
