    Why wasn't the Paris agreement about human rights. Instead it is about a part of human rights that is an excuse to keep on violating human rights on a massive scale. Addressing human rights would resolve all problems .

    All the countries involved have people in abject poverty. Disease, famine, crime, violence. I can see China joining to improve their international standing. They have a bad human rights record. They are a communist country. Joining hands with them is like everybody saying they could care less about human rights. Good for business, so who cares about human rights. You get headlines like the following:

    The Paris Agreement is specifically about Climate Change. Nothing else. Other meetings and venues address all the other topics. Let's keep this thread on topic.
