Senator Sanders is telling his die hard supporters to get over it. He lost. He knows he lost. And he is insisting that he would much rather see Secretary Clinton be our next President instead of a racist fascist being handed the keys to our nuclear codes.

What else is it going to take for you "Bernie or Bust" ideologues? Your prince has instructed you to get over it and accept that his sister, let's call her the princess, is the one chosen by the people to lead the flock. You may not like it, but why in the world would you go against your prince?

I am so tired of "Bernie or Bust" people. You can't hijack a political party and then throw a hissy fit when your candidate lost by millions of votes. You can't hijack a convention insisting that the system is rigged after your candidate lost by millions of votes. You would have a point if he actually won the primary, but he lost and he lost by a lot.

Get over it. If you want to sit out this election and then say "I told you so" when a fascist is elected to be our next (and quite likely last) President then that's up to you. But I hope you understand that YOU will be the people directly responsible for handing the keys to our nuclear arsenal to someone who responds to every mean Tween sent his way.

I completely agree with you, man. I was a Bernie supporter. As soon as I saw he didn't have any chance to get the vote, I immediately withdrew my hopes for it. It's clearly not a "rigged system" issue. It's a numbers issue. He didn't have the numbers, and unfortunately that is exactly what you need to win.

I am definitely not going to throw my vote away or vote Trump simply because the person I originally wanted has lost. "Bernie or Bust" Just doesn't make any sense. Even the man himself is now saying (gently) that that ideology is not reality.

Sarah Silverman a short while ago: "Bernie or Bust people, you are being ridiculous!"

Silverman has been an avid Bernie supporter throughout the campaign and is calling out her own.

Booing and yelling is one thing, voting for Trump, Johnson, or Stein in a swing state is another.

I admitt I'm watching recorded footage but just saw Ms. Silverman and that was a cool glass of water. As others have said, she's a Bernie supporter who is proudly voting for Hillary Clinton. Hopefully the balance of the evening goes well. I loved seeing Paul Simon but would have rather heard a duet with Art. Thank you Sarah Silverman.

Carlitos, as usual you bring wise words.

Bernie is doing the Christ-like thing here. I hope the Clinton people remember this.

I'm holding my nose and voting for her, the alternative is too scarey. A vote for anyone other than Hillary is a vote for Tump and we can't let that happen.

Its unfortunate that Hillary is too blind to see she has her core supporters no matter and must do whatever she can to include Bernies and the Independents. So far she seems to have gone out of her way to chase them away. What is she thinking???

Oh yea, she also has to loose that ridiculous pastel pantsuit. Does she think she is a clown in the circus? And, loose the phoney, condescending smile while she is at it!

Yes P.R you say it correct; I still don't trust Hillary; she's phony; did pretend to not know of anything of what DWS did; on top of that she selects an hypocrite "missionary priest" who all of a sudden is for abortion etc. wow, equal to the "religious" Trump V.P. selection. I guess such V.P. selection had connections on what was said in the e-mails about if Sanders was "religious" enough, because he could be an "atheist" or "Jewish"; of course that was not good enough, in order to please the religious clan. Not my cup of tea. I hate hypocrites. As well the worst part of it; then it becomes Bill's third term, including the established gang around them. Her foreign policies "stink". So as an awful lot of people have shown that they don't like either candidate; quite a few won't vote. Neither for the "green" party etc. because they'll never win. Like I said before; Warren is real, Hillary fake's it. Like P.R. said with a phony smile.

Both parties elected the wrong persons and can't go back; thus cheer for huge mistakes; I still call that being hypocrite.

The harm that Trump can do with tax cuts is irreparable. Nobody can totally reverse tax cuts because tax cuts have a passive aggressive appeal to even the best people. That one reason alone is enough to dump Trump. His promise to not raise the minimum wage and keep USAmerican wages low means he will negotiate trade deals with long term negative wage effects. That alone is enough to dump Trump. Up until recently he was self funded and independent. Now that he is close enough to win he has no problem advertising the presidency is for sale asking for donations. That alone is enough to dump Trump.

Okay Dutch. I will have to push back at you again. You know my support for Hillary Clinton. I will be campaigning for her after the convention. I spent countless hours researching her looking back all the way to the time she was in college. She is the real deal, a life long progressive with a mission in life to help the less fortunate. That's a FACT. I wrote a blog post on her progressivism that few Bernie supporters on this website could bear to read. Cognitive dissonance again.

Now with respect to Senator Kaine my feelings are the same. I did considerable research on him in the past few days and will be submitting my views in a lengthy blog article either later today or tomorrow. I wholeheartedly support Tim Kaine as her choice as a running mate. There is no one else more qualified. Read my blog article when it comes out. Open your mind.

That's not saying that the other candidates were not good choices. They were. But Tim Kaine was the best choice for the reasons I will go into.

    Fired up...ready to go!

I honestly have zero idea what you are talking about.

For starters--Kaine has never once voted to restrict abortion access for any woman. Not once in his decades long political career. Not as Governor of Virginia or as a United States Senator. So saying he is "all of a sudden for abortion" is just a flat out lie.

    Dutch Wrote: I hate hypocrites.

I'm not sure you understand the definition of hypocrisy.

How have your come to your conclusion that Senator Kaine is a hypocrite? Because he personally opposes abortion, but believes a woman has a right to choose what to do with her own body? Isn't that the exact opposite of hypocrisy in this instance?

I encourage you to compare the Democratic Platform and Hillary Clinton's own policy positions with that of her husbands in the 1990's. You might come to realize that Hillary and Bill have a host of different opinions. And I also find it rather sexist to automatically assume she will just defer to her husband on everything.

I love Senator Warren just as much as every other die hard liberal, but I don't think she even wants to be President. Her forte is not international diplomacy; her forte is economic fairness. That's why she would be a far better Secretary of the Treasury instead of President.

Again, I'm not sure you understand what a hypocrite is.

Forgive me but I'm not a hater...... Watching this convention makes me happy because we are a party of inclusion. I watched the repub convention last week and it was a slice of white bread. Hateful and fearful white people. This convention has all people and it shows a true diversity that we should be proud of. I know some are not as happy as me but in my opinion it's a look at America at it's best.

I can't understand how anyone who says he does the reasearch, as you do, can worship these people. Better than the Trumpsters, yes, by far but hardly worthy of your adoration or anyone else's.

These people, ALL OF THEM, are politicians first and Americans second. Many people actually believe what they see on reality TV and there isn't a whole lot of difference between either.

Bernie at least comes across as being honest to himself and his supporters (wheather they believe it or not). Hillary and Kane are ready to flip flop on a moments notice if they see something in it for them personally.

I say this as a Bernie supporter who realizes Hillary would be a more effective president, for sure, because honesty has no place in politics.
