New York Magazine is out with an explosive piece today that unequivocally states Roger Ailes is going to be fired from Fox News within days. Chairman Rubert Murdoch and his sons are all in agreement that Ailes has to go and the only question now is whether it will be during the week of the Republican National Convention or afterwards.

Murdoch and his sons apparently came to the conclusion after his team of lawyers conducted their own investigation into the recent allegations made by former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson in a sexual harassment lawsuit. What came up in their independent investigation wasn't released, but it must have not been good if Ailes is going to get shown the door.

The only remaining question is whether Ailes will resign or force Murdoch to publicly fire him. I have a feeling he will be doing the former any day now.

Roger Ailes is almost single handily responsible for making Fox "News" what it is today and it is impossible to overstate how big of a deal his firing is. He has led an unrelenting crusade against responsible journalism and has brainwashed millions of Americans into believing anything that comes out of a Fox "News" correspondents mouth.

I'm sure the overall culture at Fox "News" won't be changing anytime soon, but seeing Ailes get the boot is pretty satisfying if you ask me.

Roger Ailes sexual harassment of women goes back a long time. What is so surprising is that he has not been called out before. This is not new news to anyone, including all the women pundits at Fox News. I would expect that much like the revelations about Bill Cosby coming to light, Roger Ailes will have more accusers coming out of the closet in the weeks and months to come.

It is amazing that this lawsuit is finally the straw that broke the camels back. It must be so damning that Murdoch has no other choice than to get rid of him.

Roger Ailes is a terrible human being and while I always try to avoid kicking someone when they are down, this is one of the rare occasions where I will happily do so without regret.

Now it's being reported that Fox "News" superstar Megyn Kelly told investigators that Ailes sexually harassed her as well. That explains why she is one of the few personalities on Fox that has stayed eerily quiet about the lawsuit filed by Gretchen Carlson. It also explains why the Murdoch's are moving at rapid speed to force Ailes out.

How can an country accept that the news media is in hands of a couple of "billionaires" and their "cronies" and manipulate the public in an huge way by distorting "news". Is Trump or Hillary going to clean this up?; I doubt it. The "media" is guilty of an awful lot on what is happening in this country. Wake up America.

We have a free press in this country. Trump, Hillary, nor anyone else can "clean it up."

There are many, many things I dislike about modern media, but what I do love is that the government can't silence anyone.

I'm a student of history and I love reading old newspaper articles. If you think modern media is bad then head to your local library and pull up some of the shit they were writing in the newspapers before 24/7 media. Modern media is child's play compared to the things they were writing back then.

I also encourage you to read up on the media of many other countries. Many supposedly democratic European countries have state run media that regurgitates what the ruling party tells them to. You love to hate on America, but I encourage you to read up a bit on other "democratic" nations out there that use the media to solidify the power of the ruling elite.

Let's also try to keep this thread on topic. It's not about your distaste for American media; it's about Roger Ailes being a serial molester.
