Since Obama took office he has been constantly expressing sympathy and compassion for all those victims of those religious fanatics around the world so why are all those children, women and men who have been slaughtered and maimed by all those CIA killer drones, US military bombs so unimportant?!

And these bombs have also destroyed hospitals, schools and market places and such criminal activities are considered war crimes. One can't help but feel that Obama has lost control of the U.S. Military and the CIA!

Take a deep breath. Inhale. Exhale.

CIA "killer drones" don't strike hospitals, schools, and market places. The vast majority of drone strikes are conducted after following someone for days. There have been mistakes, but those are the exception and not the norm.

Syrian forces target market places; Boko Haram targets schools; and ISIS targets everything. I understand you don't like our military, but I encourage you to try to deal with facts and not conjecture.

This is exactly what Connie is talking about. Eliminate mistakes that have such a casual reputation.

Jared, wake up; Connie is correct. First of all the CIA nor Pentagon releases data on who or what they hit with the drones or planes, with the exception if they "score" on the killing of a "leader". So of course you as an patriotic flag waving indoctrinated person will say of course they don't do that Just point your fingers to what "others" do. First start exploring why "others" do these things. Why did 9/11 happen? Because they love us?

No Jared, we are no "holy" nation who bribes leaders all over the place while their people starve. This is what happens when our failed foreign policies over years and years bite us in the butt. Just start counting how many wars we were involved in since WWII (and lost), as well how many dictators we made rich or removed. Sorry this country creates only more and more enemy's every day by our actions worldwide. All our "rebuilding" of nations to our "model" failed.

Just as an example which no one wants to hear here: Since 9/11 we've only created more and more terrorists and frictions in the world than ever before; our revenge has cost double of the 9/11 victims in soldiers as well hundreds of thousands civilians in countries who never did us harm; let alone the cost of trillions to carry out this revenge on people who had nothing at all something to do with 9/11. We are continuing this way without learning from our mistakes. For every drone killing we get multiple enemy's back. Congratulations America, you created this mess and don't want to change; thus the results will bite us forever. We never learned from Vietnam/Korea, let alone from all the wars we are having right now, using the same stupid policies.

People who have food, education, an job as well a decent roof above their heads, don't start terrorists activities, provided fanatic religious idiots are not pushing such via indoctrination/education/media as well our "meddling" all over the world.

Right Dutch, Full employment living wage people are radical proof. Working people make plans, get houses and plan vacations. They don't strap on explosive vests. Give people a reason to live and they will. Give troubled poor people a reward and resurrection through death and they will. Give all people living wages and you will see the end of violence and terrorism.

A mistake is not a war crime. A mistake is a mistake. It's impossible to eliminate mistakes because mistakes are, by definition, unintended.

Our military is operating under the Authorization for Use of Military Force that was signed into law after the 2001 attacks and is still in effect today. I am more than happy to have a debate about modifying or eliminating the AUMF, but that is another discussion.

And Connie is misunderstanding things anyway. CIA "killer drones" are not bombing market places, schools, and hospitals. That's the Syrian Army. Our "killer drones" follow a target for sometimes days or weeks before a decision is made to engage. Sometimes there are casualties, but not to the extent that Connie and some other members on this website think.

It's important to deal with facts and not conjecture. Just because someone believes something doesn't mean that it's true all the time.

What the hell are you so angry about all the time? I'm not some flag waiving redneck just because I disagree with you. You deal with sensationalism and personal feelings. I deal with things in a sober minded, fact oriented way.

I can pretty much guarantee you I understand international politics more than you and many other people on this website (save Schmidt) because I actually take the time to study things. I don't spend my time listening to biased people throw a temper tantrum about how shitty things are in the world; I spend my time researching actual facts.

The facts are that this is the most peaceful time the world has ever seen. Yes, there are wars. There will always be wars. But the fact of the matter is that the world is experiencing the most peaceful time in recorded human history. Facts matter...no matter how much you don't believe them.

The willful ignorance of this statement is astounding. Religious fanatics drawn to the promise of paradise don't care about working a 9-5 job.

How do you propose we give those troubled poor people a living wage? You are one of the many people on this website who has advocated dramatically slashing the types of programs that provide funds to foreign countries that would do just that. Dutch would call it meddling in other countries affairs. How would we go about making sure all of these people fighting in wars of religion have jobs and stability without meddling in their affairs?

The AUMF explains everything when our fascist U.S. Congress had removed civilian control of the U.S. Military and since its founding no one in the U.S. Government has had control of that terrorist criminal CIA. No wonder we are no longer a Republic and damn to hell all those responsible for its destruction for that is where they belong!

I'm not sure you understand the definition of fascism.

Civilian control of the military is alive and well. The civilians (our Congress and Executive) pass budgets for the military every year.

Yes, we are still a Republic. We still have local, states, and federal government. We still have a judiciary that oversees all of those branches. And we still don't have armed soldiers patrolling our streets.

Take a deep breath. Everything is going to be ok.

jaredsxtn, Since you are vehemently disparaging the relationship between criminal violence and poor people a need to pause will be recognized until you substantiate the no relationship or catch up.

Jared, you live in la la land for sure; I agree in your backyard it must be peaceful. It is time you realize and accept what your country is doing . I absolutely don't see things "angry" do me a favor and tell me what I stated are not real "facts", about this country, which seem to hurt your patriotic pride. Sure, it is the most peaceful time ever; at least in the past we had two wars at the time, now we got four wars in which we are involved and expanding as we speak. You must be kidding! How much do we spent per day on that? A couple of millions? How many US military/CIA etc. are stationed around the world and have to be paid as well afterwards cared for in the VA crazy house? How many rockets/missiles per day we shoot off? On who? Your facts are a blatant "media" pushed lie; how many trillions did (and do) all our wars cost, let alone the lives of people?. Just continue to put your head in the sand and keep running towards the cliff afterwards with your eyes shut. Just keep reading the "good" news only!! Sure it is very peaceful in Egypt, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Mali , Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan, Lybia, etc. just to name a few. I hope you viewed the Fareed documentary on CNN" Why they hate us" and hope you learn from it. Just "studying" things without using your own brain, analyzing such via other means etc. is your problem, not mine. You remain forever an "student" without broad world experience.

No, I live in fact land.

Fewer people have died in the past 60 years than at any time in all of recorded history. That. Is. A. Fact.

I know you will never allow yourself to believe it, but facts matter.

Dutch Wrote: I absolutely don't see things "angry" do me a favor and tell me what I stated are not real "facts", about this country, which seem to hurt your patriotic pride.

I say that you're angry because you are always writing angry rants about this country. And many of the things you say aren't fact; they are conjecture. They are your personal biases and not facts.

Dutch Wrote: Sure, it is the most peaceful time ever; at least in the past we had two wars at the time, now we got four wars in which we are involved and expanding as we speak. You must be kidding!

    No, I'm not kidding.

Once again--what are you so damn angry about?

Facts are not a media pushed lie. Facts are based off of statistical evidence from the time of recorded history. They are not based off of my feelings.

Suggesting I don't use my brain is unfortunate. I use my brain to study recorded history. There have always been wars since humans figured out how to kill each other. There was the Mongol Conquests that killed roughly 70 million people. And there was WWII that had over 80 million fatalities. The wars going on today pale in comparison to wars of the near and distant past.

I know you will never bring yourself to admit it, but those are the facts.

Yes your last statement says it all; you just "logged" miles with your eyes completely shut; it shows in all your replies.

The "good" news is that I don't care about you're naïve comments. Since you are an Hillary fan, I wish you luck. The corruption and bribes will continue as usual, as well billions wasted on future elections, wars, military toys, catering to the 1% , loosing/wasting billions somewhere etc. etc. Even longer TSA lines, because we are scared of our own shadows. But yeah, this is the "blessed" nation, with plenty of flags, guns, drugs, weirdo's etc., so how do I dare to say that it is not so "rosy" here; ask the poor (and Bernie) I suggest. Just keep up the good workSad

Just to think of it, you are the same real "American" as in this story:

I went to the beach here; smelled something awful; I asked an "American": Did you see any "dead" fish on the beach? ( caused by our "hero" Governor Scott who lets our "nature" be polluted because he got close to a million for re-election from the "polluters") The answer was: No I did not see any dead fish. However when we hit the beach it was swamped with dead fish. I guess Jared is exactly like that. Amen
