11% of Dems voted in the 2016 primaries and 17% of Republicans and that explains why America is no longer a Republic and instead a warmongering, corrupt, lawless, oligarchic plutocracy and any American refusing to be an educated voter is spitting on the graves of all those who have given their last full measure of devotion.

This stat is from early March. It's now towards the end of May.

There are various factors when it comes to the percentage of voters participating in their states primary or caucus. Many states hold "closed" primaries that only allows people who are members of a particular party to vote in a primary. Other states hold caucuses that make it difficult for parents who have full time jobs and need to look after their kids to take the time to sit in a school gymnasium for four hours while the various sides duel it out. The vast majority of voters in this country consider themselves "independents" and are therefore excluded from voting in a primary. I'm not saying it's right, but those are the facts.

We are still a republic and we still have laws. Just because some people disagree with you doesn't mean they are "spitting on the graves of all those who have given their last full measure of devotion."
